When daikin tech support is great… but their parts department is more incompetent then if you had a helper get you parts… they asked my what a compressor inverter pcb was even though it’s directly in their manual 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ fyi this is an “evaporator coil”

Anyone have the number for Tech support on these Daikin units in SoCal? Called closest Goodman supplier and was told that they are and sell Daikin but these require another Daikin tech support and they don’t have it. Not sure how true that is or not, but we’ve had to swap out a compressor, and have high superheat issues, oil issues, really just trying to get tech support and more help on these.
Genuinely, how do you guys diagnose inverter mini splits, I know Mitsubishi has the service guides you follow but the other random brands I have no idea. I can diagnose a regular heat pump, furnace, straight cool like nobody’s business, but am so lost and confused on mini splits it hurts, to be real it feels embarrassing. So, how do you guys do it?
Hey all,
I had my Daikin system installed 1 year ago by an authorized dealer/installer. There is some vibration coming from inside the unit. Despite tightening up all external screws and mounts - it didn't fix the issue.
I am going to reach out to the supervisor again to see what they can do, but the tech did not inspire any confidence when they basically told me "We only install" and don't fix. When asked if they have a tech support department, they couldn't say.
Not going to dwell on the merits of going with them in the first place (word of mouth referral w/ good experience)... but I'm curious what my post-install options?
I am going to contact Daikin directly. Was wondering if anyone can shed some light on how the process is if it's directly w/ Daikin? I registered my unit and it is still under manufacturer warranty.
Thanks!
