I own a new Dell XPS8930 SE. Like other people I got rid of all the OEM "bloatware"
Then I thought in my case, it might be best to leave Support Assist installed until my system is out of warranty. So
I re-installed it. Fine, no big deal. After a month I thought even though I keep a bootable ISO on a flash, that might not save the day if it vanished and I couldn't install Windows. So maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep the system's OS recovery environment up to date with the latest version of SupportAssist OS Recovery.
That required re-installing another app called Dell Update-Support Assist Update Plug-In. OK, so I re-installed it. Then I find out updates for this Plug In are delivered through Dell Update so once again another re-install and this time it's Dell Update.
After re-installingthese last two, this thing called Support Assist Remediation installs by itself a day later.
It looks like it piggybacked from one of these two. Now I don't know how to send SA Remediation away and keep Dell Support Assist OS recovery up to date. Anyone have an idea how to un-install this and keep it removed ?
3 Apps were re-installed: Support Assist, Dell Update-Support Assist Update Plug-in, and Dell Update

Hi,
Could you try connecting a different network and check if it gets installed?
If the same issue continues, please follow the steps below and let me know if Support Assist works:
Uninstall Support Assist and Support Assist remediation from control panel> programs and features. Restart the system.
Download and install Support Assist from the link below: https://dell.to/3gOyhiD
Restart the system and check if it works.
You can also share the Service tag of the system via a private message so that I can get back to you.
-Gautam.
