What styles of corner computer desks are there?
What's the best type of computer desk storage?
What are the most durable materials for a computer desk?
I love the window desk nook in my little studio, but as time has gone on, I've accumulated a lot more desktop clutter: books, more glass jars of pens, etc. I have some things stored underneath already (like my printer) but it still feels like I'm not exploiting all of the possibilities.
Here are a few ideas I've been toying with (and I'd welcome any other opinions and ideas!):
Getting a few of these cute mason jar wall mounts + mounting in the mortar or with brick tape so the pens/pencils/paintbrushes/markers can be off the desk
Doing a monitor stand-type shelf on the back of the desk?? Like this but probably a few inches taller
Renting a hammer drill trying to mount a couple shelves onto the brick for books—this was my top choice but I was warned by some on reddit that the exposed brick in prewar NYC buildings is not really strong enough to mount onto :( Has anyone mounted a bookshelf onto exposed brick before? How'd you make it was sturdy?
Some other hutch? The desk is a vintage Ethan Allen corner desk in their "maple/heirloom nutmeg" color, not made anymore but not too hard to find. But apparently it was also at one time manufactured with a gorgeous bookcase hutch though unfortunately I have not been successful in finding one. And I'm not sure they'd sell them separately anyway (booo). But maybe I could get or build a different one and try to color match??
Sorry for the manic post it's just been really bothering me!!
