I feel like all of the Costco-specific items are hit or miss, but with their return policy, it’s often worth the gamble as long as you’re willing to wait in their long lines. That said, I bought an air purifier at Costco and now can’t find the replacement filters anywhere, because I don’t think they exist, so that could also be an issue with a wet/dry vac. If you’re still shopping around, there’s a Reddit user who has put a thread with a ton of research together on all the different types of vacuums. Their database should help you narrow down your options in no time.

They only use the 4 digit date code, they're not actually made by dewalt either. They're made by Alton which makes Stanley, porter cable and stealth and I think some benchmark shop vacs for home hardware here in Canada. I wouldn't worry about warranty anyway, I have the stealthsonic 12 gallon and it fucked up the car that hit it more then it fucked up my shop vac
