Backpack as diaper bag
Pockets and openings to keep different things in different spaces. Doesn’t need to be huge, just needs to have options.
But diaper backpacks are as inexpensive as regular backpacks, I think ours on Amazon was $20-something.

Hello, diaper bags are expensive, so I just figured I'd pick up a large backpack to use. Any recommendations, specific things to look for?

They make diaper bags that look like backpacks that aren't too expensive. A lot less than traditional diaper bags.
If you're looking for a regular backpack, the more pockets /division inside the better so you can organize everything. Outside pockets are great for easy access to things like water bottles or sippy cups.
Costs $110 +tax CDN and is worth every penny! Really large bag with 3 outer pockets, stroller straps, removable shoulder strap, a super cute diaper changing mat, and 3 compartments inside.
Material looks and feels really high quality, outside and inside. Inside is very washable, and the outside seems it too but I’ve yet to find out, it’s brand new.
Great for heavy packers or moms of 2 kids+. I also don’t like hauling my own purse so this doubles as my purse as well.
I’m so happy I found this bag. I didn’t like any of the other ones I saw in the store including a lot of skip-hop bags. They were all either too minimalist, too cutesy and small or too unfashionable. This was just right. It’s unisex and just the right size. I’m glad I didn’t get the Itzy Ritzy backpack for $190. It’s half the size.
The diaper bag is your best weapon so don’t be afraid to splurge a little! Highly recommended. They have a few patterns too.
