What is interval notation?
How do you find interval notation?
What are the types of interval notation?
Easy enough, I need to find the domain for the function f(x)=(-4/3)x+(2/3). It should be (-infinity, infinity) because there are no restrictions on x, but for some reason my online homework (web assign) won't take the answer. I've double checked on a number of online calculators and such and they all confirm my answer. Is there something I'm missing or am I just screwed out of that homework point?
Edit: Link to a SS of the question with what I think is the right answer filled in. https://imgur.com/a/dqIyXCu
Thanks
I’m in 11th grade and in pre calc, yet i still don’t understand completely how to get domains correctly each time and it drives me nuts. I have a test tomorrow and a big part is going to be on finding domains in interval notation, with inequalities. The basic information I know is that you have to set the denominator = 0, and find the X values that are equal to 0, yet I don’t know how to set that up in interval notation, and I still can’t find the domain interval notation of any other function (like without fractions). I am really confused. I hope this makes sense to you guys and I would really really appreciate your help right now, because i’m really frustrated at my laptop right now! If you have any ideas please help:) Thank You and stay safe <3
