Each of these three days I suddenly got an email saying I missed them. Two of the times it came with an image attached - one which was a blank photo, and another of a door I do not recognise in the slightest
I’ve had several deliveries in the past from various different couriers, 95% of whom had the basic mental capacity to locate my flat building and ring my doorbell. The other 5% being kind enough to phone me and ask for directions. All three DPD drivers have failed somehow
I went to the customer complaints page on DPD’s website, only to have a button which redirects me to the basic contact us page. I don’t mean to sound aggressive, but I sincerely hope the CEO of DPD accidentally pours gone-off milk into their cornflakes tomorrow morning.
I don't know was is going on. The things I've ordered recently are from Amazon, and it due to arrive between June 10-13, so I'm pretty sure it not that. The other thing I ordered came on Monday. The website link in the text seems correct, and I think they came to my house to deliver yesterday, but I was on an important call. The message says that they will be coming again today between 12:31 and 13:31. Should I answer the door and tell them I didn't order anything, or should I not answer. I'm confused and don't know what to do.
While I don't know how to post pictures on Reddit, I can write the text out. The message that I got this morning says:
"Your driver Manpreet will deliver your parcel today between 12:31-13:31, you have options if you are not in www.dpd.co.uk/....."
I didn't put the rest of the link because it has my name and address. I've never done anything with DPD or made an account or anything, but they have my details.
Also, I posted this on the wrong Reddit page, so I was directed here.
Bit pissed off so this is going to be a rant. Found out the delivery driver went to the wrong place (took a picture of a random unidentifiable road and his shoe to show me where he dropped the calling card) and they can only deliver tomorrow, even though I called the depot and the lady said they’ve told the driver to double back and deliver. DPD are a fucking joke.
Royal Mail would update your tracking as “address incorrect, returned to the sender” if they don’t feel like delivering your package on the date that’s estimated. Then later on will send you a sorry we missed you update. Lol
DPD are by far the worst in my experience. Always claimed to have been even though I’ve waited in the house and not seen a single van/person all day
