The drums get deformed sometimes and basically don’t easily fit anymore after. It sucks. There’s a quick change version of the drums that are easier to use but I find they have trouble holding the sand paper tightly enough. Basically both solutions suck. Answer from methnen on reddit.com

There’s supposed to be a pin that sticks through that with a screw and washer on it. The pin is long enough that you chuck it in the Dremel while coming out the other side of the rubber. Remove the screw and washer to put the sanding pad on. Once on, put in the screw and washer. As you tighten, the rubber will compress and squeeze outward applying a clamping force to the inside of the sanding pad.
