So I've been joggling with the idea of buying my first Dyson hair dryer so I normally did some research and came upon mixed reviews.
Before doing my research I was set on buying myself one for Black Friday but now I'm kinda torn. The general consensus is that the product is good but it stops working at the 2 year mark warranty or before that and give than its not quite cheap not sure if I'm willing to pay 400$ for a product that can stop working any minute plus from what I've read Dyson customer support is horrible.
That's why I'd like to get some opinions from people who owned this product. Thanks in advance ~

I think it’s Ion that does essentially a dupe version — it’s just as quiet and I love it (I have NEVER liked hair dryers), and it was only like $100 at Sally’s. It looks pretty much the same, even fits in a Dyson hair dryer case. More on reddit.com

Omg so I had the same exact question as you like a month ago. For the last 5 years I’ve been using a $20 blow dryer from Amazon, and honestly it works fine 🤷🏽♀️ but one day I woke up and I was like…I want to upgrade my blow dryer to something better. I started researching different models, like Pattern Beauty, Shark, and Dyson. I finally decided on Dyson Supersonic Nural (the newest model) and honestly it’s amazing. Definitely a huge difference from my $20 blow dryer 😅 I use it mainly for the diffuser, as I wear my hair in a wash and go 99% of the time. I’m not sure how, but my style lasts SO much longer with the Dyson. I would need to do a curl refresh at like day 3, but with the Dyson, I don’t need to refresh until 5 or 6. I also like to use the concentrator to stretch my curls a little to prevent them from shrinking. Anyway, I’d recommend! Even if you don’t get the Nural. More on reddit.com

As much as I’m down to shit on Dyson, that’s probably because they use a high density filter, which will of course catch more dust particulates but also clog the filter faster. It’s probably not necessary to filter out such small particle sizes but as a positive, that means there’s going to be less build up inside your machine. It would’ve been wiser for Dyson to use a larger mesh filter to reduce maintenance but if anything your machine will last longer. Better than that $300 Shark hairdryer I had with a non removable filter lol. I couldn’t get the filter clean enough because my wife allowed the dust to literally bake into the filter. Ultimately had to trash the thing because it would cut-out due to insufficient air intake. More on reddit.com
