The V15 Detect Absolute is $100 off on Dyson’s website. What am I missing on these two vacuums?
I was hoping to get the V15 on a Prime discount.
Why is the Absolute $100 off?
What’s the difference in the V15 Absolute and the V15?
Is the V15 Absolute the latest model? I noticed last week they had the “1st Generation” at $100 off, which I no longer see offered on the website.

With Dyson, the different models basically just refer to the included accessories. Think of them as packages, rather than models. The machine itself is always the same between the various models in that line (but could be different colors). The V15 and V15 Absolute are both the exact same machine. Only difference is the color, filter, and included accessories. The V15 Absolute has: Gold machine / gold wand / gold brush bar A blue HEPA filter based on EU standards - filters down to 0.1 microns Quick-clean wand 4 accessories The V15 has: Yellow machine / nickel wand / nickel brush bar A purple HEPA filter based on US standards - filters down to 0.3 microns. (Dyson doesn't advertise it as HEPA anymore since it's no longer considered HEPA in the EU.) 5 accessories The "First Generation" you seen is simply just referring to the original Absolute "package". It has the older fluffy head, but has a lot more accessories (9 accessories). The machine itself is the exact same as these...there are no different generations with the V15 machine. The first generation Absolute model/package can be found here, but is not on sale anymore: https://www.dyson.com/vacuum-cleaners/cordless/v15/detect/absolute-gold Also, the V15 line is no longer the latest model. That would be the new Gen5detect line.

The v15 absolute is the same as the v15. The absolute version is just a special color way that’s only available when you buy directly from Dyson. The latest model is the gen5 outside/detect

v15 Detect Absolute versus v15 Detect Complete (UK)
Both models use the same core main body so don't know how their can be a 10 air watts difference. It's possible it could be a typo mistake on the product page for the absolute. I know when I ordered the V15 Animal Gold the product page stated it came with the mini soft dusting brush but it wasn't in the box or mentioned on the box itself, instead they had replaced it with the light pipe crevice tool which was listed on the box it came in but not on the product page. Dyson have still yet to correct that or update the included tools on the page to show the V15 Animal gold version comes with the light pipe crevice tool. In terms of difference between the Absolute and Complete model the Complete comes with an extra tool in the form of the light pipe crevice tool which is usually £50 and also comes with a more advanced HEPA filter. HEPA filter on your Absolute model filters down to 0.3 microns, whilst the advanced HEPA filter on the Complete filters down to as small as 0.1 microns. Why they didn't included the the advanced HEPA filter with the V15 as standard I don't know though I'm assuming it's so they can claim the new filter is an exclusive upgrade for those who choose to order one of the Exclusive Dyson.co.uk models. I'm a bit confused about the difference between these two machines. I bought the Absolute when it came out in the UK about 4 weeks ago but about 2 weeks after that the Complete was released at the same price. I thought the only difference was that the Complete included the light pipe crevice tool.
After seeing a post here about some German models, I dug a bit deeper and I see that the Absolute is about 250g heavier has 10AW more but is listed as "whole machine filtration" while the Complete says "HEPA whole machine filtration". I contacted Dyson for clarification but I did not receive any.
I'm not sure if I should return the Absolute for the Complete instead as I'm still within the 35 day return period for another week. Any thoughts?
