It's come up in several interviews and I'd love to see the resemblance.

Emma Corrin - Wikipedia
4 days ago - Corrin came out as queer in April 2021, and by July, they had added she/they pronouns to their Instagram account. That August, they spoke about being queer and non-binary in an interview with The New York Times's Trisha Bendix, crediting Diana, Princess of Wales (whom they portray in The Crown) for facilitating their "journey" regarding their gender identity by being "so openhearted" and supportive of the LGBTQ community during her lifetime.

r/TheCrownNetflix on Reddit: Emma Corrin’s Diana
January 21, 2024 -
After watching Elizabeth Debicki’s masterful portrayal of Diana in seasons five and six, I went back and watched season four’s Diana played by Emma Corrin. It was a performance I loved at the time, but after seeing Debicki, I felt that Emma Corrin’s performance felt caricaturish (is that a real word?) at times. Their mannerisms and body language didn’t have a natural flow like Debicki's. It came off as too rigid and practiced. It became very obvious that she is playing Diana rather than being Diana, if that makes sense. The press meet scene after the engagement, especially, stood out to me.
Is it just me, or do any of you guys feel this way?

I LOVE both actresses' work. I was very impressed with Elizabeth Debicki, might actually say mindblowned. It felt like at times you were seeing the real Diana. I can possibly say she has been the best actress to impersonate her. Emma Corrin did an amazing job as well and was very surprised in a very positive way with her perfomance in season 4. I think something that we have to take into consideration here, at least in my case, is that whenever I think about princess Diana, I think of the princess Diana that was already divorced and separated from the Crown, the last Diana that existed before her death, which is the one Elizabeth plays. Emma Corrin's Diana was way younger, and you could tell and even expect to not be as the one Debicki played. Corrin's was young, immature, more playful with the display of her feelings. By the time Diana was a mother and separated, you could see she was already in another place in her life. I might slightly prefer Debicki's performance, and honestly it would be due to the resemblance of Diana. There were times in which I saw her from afar and was astonished. In a summary, I love both actresses' perfomance, the show made an excellent casting with these two.

I absolutely agree, debicki’s diana is one for the ages. There is no comparison to anyone at all. Emma seemed exactly how you described, the after engagement photoshoot was very learned and awkward. Plus the hushed voice seemed very forced.
