I finally landed an interview after 2 months of daily applying for copywriting or content jobs.
I only have two months experience as a volunteer copy writer for a cannabis blog site, writing one 300-700 word article a week.
This is what the job posting says, position is "content writer and editor," I don't think it's freelance:
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
Salary: $15.00-$30.00 per hour
The blog articles on their site seem to be 1000 word articles, which seems easy enough for me, as I usually write about 1000 words on my weekly cannabis articles, then have to edit it down to 700.
But given that the salary range seems pretty huge, as someone with only 2 months experience, would it be acceptable to ask for $`18 per hour? Or should I just say that $15 seems reasonable for someone with my experience?
How desperate I am to land the job: extremely desperate, I have debilitating health conditions/disability that makes it difficult to get any other job, that's why I've turned to writing.
