Used my Etsy account to purchase an item from a seller. Someone contacted me saying they saw my review and wanted to know about said item. I thought Etsy had made buyer info private back when people were buying sexy items and the world could could see? How is it that some rando can contact me regarding what I bought???

It’s sounds like they saw your review. And then clicked on your name. Reviews aren’t private. They didn’t go to your profile and see what you bought, they were shopping an item you bought and saw your review on the item.

If you don't want this to happen again, don't leave a review, which is sad for the seller. Or buy as a guest, where you can't leave a review, which is also sad for the seller. There is no reason to respond to the message, just mark it as spam.

On the main page, go to 'you' and in the drop down menu is 'purchases and reviews'. All your purchases are there for you to review.

I think you can only review within the first 100 days or something like that. Visit your “Purchased” tab on your own profile. There you’ll find everything you ever bought and from there you can write a review. :)

I ordered something expensive but I've forgotten what exactly. So I tried checking 'Purchases and Reviews' but kept getting this error message:
"Uh oh! A stitch has gone awry. Please try again later."
This has been happening for the past 2 weeks. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Is there another way I can check my purchase history?

Under your profile there's a list of things to click on and one of them is purchases. You have to scroll through page by page, I'm not sure if you can search by keyword though.

It shouldn't have to be suggested or even requested. It should be the bare minimum they provide. A web developer barely had to do anything these days to provide this functionality. Just another "Etsy get with the program!" problem.
