Fan Control works well. I'm in a similar situation. I used Gigabyte GCC before, but I stopped using it to try FC. Honestly, I'm planning on going back to GCC, mainly because I don't want to have so much software running at once. GCC does a good job of controlling the fans and RGB. Also because I'm a little worried about security. More on reddit.com

When I downloaded and launched the .exe file from this site: https://getfancontrol.com/ I got a Windows defender warning tell me not to open it and that it "stopped" the file from damaging my computer or whatever.
I had my friend try to download it as well, but he downloaded from this site: https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases
And got no warning.
Is the https://getfancontrol.com/ site a virus or is it just my Windows acting up? I would really love to control my fans via a software that's not BIOS, but I'm also quite paranoid when it comes to third-party apps that are made from just one person etc..
So basically, is the program trustworthy? And where should I download it from?
