Hi all, wondering if anyone here has purchased a design system template and implemented it for a brand - would love to know any red flags that may exist during the process.
Also, if anyone could recommend a good starting point for templates -- we're considering the https://www.untitledui.com/ -- this seems to have a nice range of marketing and system/applications patterns to start with.
Any advice would be helpful!

So far in my experience, biggest thing kinda depends on the business needs. If the template doesn't offer similar page options, you will find yourself with limitations (e.g. template only has home, contact, about VS a template that has that plus cms, and extra pages). It's easier to remove extra pages then to build more from scratch if you are trying to do it quickly. Also, make sure the template is compatible with whatever tool you are using to build/design/implement the site (for example, I've found templates that are made for adobe not figma) Hope that helps 👍

The problem with templates is that they don't really address any specific needs any particular client or product will need. It can be a cheap, quick way to get something going, of course. And maybe that's all they need/want. But ideally this would be a process where you're working with the developers to see what frameworks they're looking at, which component libraries and front-end components they're considering, and then go from there.
