DaVinci Resolve if you're on PC. It has a Free version. The free version does what I need it to do. Has a lot of features available not locked behind a paywall. The Pro version has even more and it includes future updates and it's a one time payment. But free version should be all you need. Pro version is what film people use and such. Some say DaVinci Resolve has a steep learning curve... But since it was my first video editing software, I learned it just fine. It was actually easy. And there's lots of YouTube tutorials out there. I mainly just use the editing and publishing tab. But there's color grading and some other tabs that I've never used before. I think there's a sound mixed tab? And a media files tab? There's like 5 tabs at the bottom of the screen. And I only use 2 of them. More on reddit.com

Absolutely 100% Davinci Resolve for me. I have been editing my videos for the last 6 months and learned so much. I'm just now starting to get into the fusion page which is going to make my videos even more awesome. There's a bit of a learning curve to be sure. But it being free and open source means that you can improve on it yourself with the help of Chat GPT and plugins! If you need any more evidence, feel free to check out my channel.
