Can I use a duvet cover with a comforter instead of a duvet insert?
Yes, you can use a duvet cover with a comforter, but it's important to ensure the comforter fits well inside the cover. Duvet covers are typically designed for duvet inserts, which are usually lighter and less bulky than comforters. If your comforter is similar in size to the duvet cover, it can work as a substitute. Using a duvet cover over a comforter can protect it from stains and wear, and it allows you to easily change the look of your bedding. Just make sure to secure the comforter inside using corner ties or clips if available.

Where can I buy purely “full” duvet covers for <$100? NOT FULL/QUEEN
Random thought- but you can use a queen comforter. The extra size is really nice if there are 2 people, and it hangs nicely around the bed, especially if you store things underneath, it’ll hide the clutter.

What Duvet Cover do you recommend??
It drives me bonkers when that little edge of the duvet cover doesn’t fit my comforter perfectly. Been searching for a deep emerald green full size duvet covers with no luck, and I’m shocked at how many full/queen options there are versus how few purely full duvet covers I’m finding. Any ideas?
