After 1.5 years of use, let's dive into the long-term review of the Buds 2. First, let's talk about sound. Its audio quality is commendable for a TWS, earning an 8/10 rating from me. It's not overly bassy, but I do utilize the Wavelet app to fine-tune it to my liking.

Regarding its software/hardware, I've been using a case to protect it, resulting in almost no scratches or wear. However, I do find that the latching mechanism could be stronger. On occasions when it falls from a small height, the buds tend to scatter.

One standout feature is its Find Buds function, which has come in handy more than once. However, there are occasional bugs to note. For instance, sometimes the case light remains off even after charging, but a gentle tap usually resolves this issue. Additionally, there's a Bluetooth bug on Android where it occasionally produces noise, but reconnecting usually fixes it.

Overall, considering the price point, it offers an average user experience.

Been rocking these galaxy buds 2 since the past 2 years, they still sound as awesome as day 1. What are your thoughts on these? DO you like the buds 2 or the newer ones?? Personally, I don't like the design of the buds 3 for some reason, seem like a copy of the airpods.

Bought Galaxy Buds 2 in July 2022. Already facing issues which seems like the hardware is falling apart. Right earbud has gone quiet, so much so that I've stopped using it altogether, only use the left one. Tried resetting them from the app, tried the earbud touch control trick to raise the volume, nothing worked. Saw a couple of videos that the front grill needs to be cleaned, which is not ideal.

They don't fit well either, constantly slipping off my ears, even jumping out with the slightest pressure at the jaw-ear joint. I've tried many different ear tips, from Comply TrueGrip foam tips to SpinFits sillicone tips. Nothing keeps them in. Went running with them, had to adjust them constantly, pushing again and again. I do have oily ears, so that's part of the issue, I'll admit.

I got these as a substitute to my Sony WF-1000XM3, just because of the quick connection (got a Samsung phone now) and smart find feature (even without the UWB). Sony ones are 1.5 years old, still works great, stays in my ear better (still slips out occasionally, but not as bad).

I really love the quick connection, size, and shape of the Galaxy Buds and the case. The battery life is insane, Sony ones last about 3 hours, Galaxy Buds goes for like 6 hours or more. It's a shame that the hardware don't last.

Would anyone recommend the Buds 2 pro or are they very similar to buds 2?

I have a Galaxy A71 and a Galaxy Watch 4 so I knew Galaxy Buds would work great with these devices and I'm thinking of getting Buds 2 However on thy sub people are saying they are having battery issues with one earbud draining very fast ,for example, and the mic quality is poor. Are these rare cases or common occurrences? Are the Galaxy buds 2 worth it?

My Buds+ just missing, I'm so sad 😭 since I love it very much. Now looking for replacement, anyone have Galaxy Buds 2 that previously coming from Buds+, how the experience so far and how it fares compared to Plus? Does the lack of wingtip affect fit? Does it feels like an upgrade? Thx in advance

Sound Quality:

I'm an audiophile with sensitive ears and these are the only pair of earbuds that I can comfortably listen to. At least for me, they are not too bass heavy unlike Beats but I also wish the instrumental separation was a bit better. I've used these for podcasts and the sound is very clear with vocals, amazing listening experience.

Paring:

Pairing with Samsung devices is seamless, haven't experienced a single issue. The pairing with non-Samsung devices like my Windows 10 laptop was quick and reliable with zero disconnection issues.

ANC:

The active noise cancelling on these works good with "hmm" noises like an airplane or a bus. When someone is talking and the ANC is turned on it lowers their volume but sometimes you can still make out what they are saying, if a song is playing however, even at a low volume you cannot hear the person at-all. It's always best to play a song and then have the ANC on too to completely block out any noise.

Comfort:

I personally use the medium sized tips on these. The buds are so small, seriously. Being so small they fit in almost flush with my ear and "snug-in" with the shape of my ear. Comfort wise I have no issues with these, even with airplane listening sessions of up to 5 hours. They are not heavy at all and if you have ambient mode on you forget that they are even there.

Hey all, I got my Buds 2 Pro a few days ago and wanted to talk about them as information is a little lacking online.

For background, I upgraded from the Buds+ to the Buds 2 Pro so the bulk of this review will be the differences between the two devices.

I'm not entirely familiar with the Buds 2 or the Buds Pro, but a friend of mine said one of those cases will fit the new ones perfectly fine. They also took away one-earbud Ambient Sound at some point between the Buds+ and 2 Pro, so rip.

Inside the box there are the Buds 2 Pro themselves, a USB-C to C cable, a very brief quick start guide, and the S/M/L eartips that are pretty normal at this point. Unsure if they're interchangeable with the other models. The Buds+ tips are too loose and fall off.

I have the white model, which is entirely matte plastic from the case to the buds. I've seen the other colors at Samsung's display in NY and black is more of a charcoal with purple looking like lavender.

Coming from the Buds+, the Buds 2 Pro have a slight hard plastic feel when you first put them into your ears. I'm used to the rubber wing around the edge. I believe they're supposed to be turned counterclockwise (away from you) to fit properly but I have no idea. Lack of guides and all. There's a fit test within Galaxy Wearable to help you out. I also can't find the touchpad for the life of me.

Once you get them in, the sound quality is fantastic. Everything sounds so much fuller than the Buds+. I think ANC could be a bit better but maybe that's a fit problem on my end. I can still hear people speaking with it on. Ambient Sound is fine.

360 Audio is really fascinating. I've only used it with music so far so I can't say how well it works with film or TV, but it seems to upmix stereo to surround. It's like the sound wraps around you instead of just in front of you.

Voice Detect: It takes a second to recognize your voice but lowers music volume and enables Ambient Sound when it does. Comes with various time-out options.

Battery Life: Unsure as I got covid right after my initial test of the earbuds and my head still feels like it's stuffed with cotton. Will update once I can hear normally.

I've got a good price on them at 57 USD, I'm really looking forward on getting the Buds 2. Should I get them?

Another masterpiece from Samsung Malaysia I had the opportunity to try it out apart from the Galaxy Watch5 that I as well have posted a long term review about it. Now that I've been using the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, it's time for me to share my thoughts with the Members.

In this review, I will be comparing the Galaxy Buds2 Pro with my current Galaxy Buds Pro in order to identify the differences and improvements better between these two.

Design

It was love at first sight. That’s the best I can say when I first held this Galaxy Buds2 Pro out of the box beside the beach <3. The first thing you will notice when you got this Buds unboxed is the soft touch matte coating on the built, which is known to be resistant to scratch. Even without the glossy finish, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro continue to have the most sophisticated style of all the earbuds on the market.

Speaking about the bud’s design, I can consider it as a big improvement on the ergonomic aspect as to how pleasant the buds sit on my ears when I plug it in. Samsung claimed that the size of the buds has been reduced 15% compared to the Galaxy Buds Pro to give advantage to the ergonomic, and I proved the point. It’s extremely comfortable and lightweight to plug the Galaxy Buds2 Pro in my ears, and apart from leaving no pain at all after an extended use, especially when I lay down on my side, I sometimes forget that it is still attached on my ears the next morning !

Colours

Three attractive colors are available you can choose based on your preference: Graphite/ White/ Bora Purple. The Galaxy Buds2 Pro case's dimensions are exactly the same as those of the cases for the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds Live. If you’re planning to make an upgrade from the abovementioned models, you can keep your existing cases for this Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Personally, I don’t use any case despite the fact that I own a few since the design is just too nice for me to hide its beauty.

Set of ear tips are provided to allow you choose which size comforts your ears the most when it is being plugged into.

IPX7 Water Resistance

The Galaxy Buds2 Pro features IPX7 Water resistance which leaves me worry-free when I’m sweating during workout. This includes being caught up in the rain during the jogging activity, where the Galaxy Buds2 Pro can still resist to the raindrops very well.

Battery

I do turn on ANC all the time when I listen to songs while learning, and the Galaxy Buds2 Pro gives me around 5 hours of playtime, which is in line with what Samsung advertised to be 5 hours playtime with ANC enabled. There is nothing mentioned about fast charging capability on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro in Samsung websites, but I have the impression that the charging speed of the buds is noticeably quicker compared to its brother.

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC)

There have been a numerous newly added and refined features on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro from my current Galaxy Buds Pro which makes it a worthy upgrade. To start over, the biggest noticeable difference when I did the comparison between these two, the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) has really been improved on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Surrounding noise is greatly filtered out, making me feel as though I’m sitting in a vacuum room when the song isn’t playing.

SmartThings Find

Our moms are so much better at finding lost objects than we are. But when they aren’t around, SmartThings got you covered. This feature comes in handy when you misplace your buds somewhere in the house, or even somewhere on your bed. The earbuds' ringing sound has quite a strong loudness that could be heard across your house.

Touch controls

The touch controls have a good level of precision and sensitivity to detect the touches compared to the Galaxy Buds Pro. I enjoyed myself navigating the music just by controlling it on my earbuds instead of reaching my mobile device, apart from controlling it on my Galaxy Watch5 as well.

Neck stretch reminder

Stretching at work can reduce fatigue by increasing blood supply to your muscles. Since I often get myself forgotten to stretch after sitting doing the Internship stuffs, this feature comes in handy. The neck stretch reminder will notify me to get my neck stretch. Prior to the feature to be enabled, there will be some calibration steps to be done in the settings.

Samsung Ecosystem

With seamless connectivity of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro across my Galaxy devices, my attachment to Samsung has never been so strong than ever. Whenever I watch any contents on my Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to take benefit of its huge screen and receive a call on my Galaxy M62, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro will automatically switch it over without having me to manually done so. Not only for calls, but also when I start playing a song in Spotify as well. Marvellous.

Summary

All in all, considering the significant improved ANC, better precision on touch controls, refined features, an upgrade to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro does worth your penny. If you are a student, don’t miss the chance to apply the Samsung Student Offers !

What makes Buds 2 Pro more expensive than others? What are these buds doing differently than others? Is it worth it?

Even if you answered yes to the first question, If you had to recommend me any buds except Buds 2 Pro, what would it be?

I switched to Buds 2 from Buds+ a while ago because I lost my Buds+. They were perfect for me and I did not plan to switch anytime soon until I lost them.

So anyway now I’ve been using the Buds 2 for a month and would like to share my experience with anyone contemplating the switch.

Pros:

1. The ambient sound mode is definitely a lot better. On the buds+, there’s kind of a white noise when you turn on the ambient mode, and the environment sounds sounded a little low quality if you know what I mean. The buds 2 lets you hear your environment sounds without too much exaggeration or extra white noise.

2. ANC is not that impressive, but I do find myself using it from time to time.

3. Voice call quality is significantly better.

Cons: The fit. When I put them on, they fit snugly and no amount of shake will make them drop but if I smile or move my jaw too much, they come loose. Tried the Spinfit CP1025 tips but they didn’t really solve the issue.

What didn’t change:

1. Lots of people are afraid of losing out on battery life switching from the plus, but I personally didn’t feel any difference. Might only be a problem if listening for more than 5-6 hours at a time is your thing.

2. Sound quality. Not the most knowledgeable when it comes to sound quality but personally, if there’s any improvement, I don’t think it’s significant.

Hi, I have an unopened buds 2 that was sent as a gift when I bought galaxy s23 but I've been waiting to buy buds 2 pro for sound quality. Do you think it is worth selling buds 2 and buying buds 2 pro? Is there a big difference in sound quality?

Crinacle and Gizaudio as well as some others have them ranked highly even against some pretty good under 200 wired IEMs. Consumer grade reviewers don't seem too hot on them though. Supposedly the tuning is really good, but I am wondering on their technicalities.
