I am glad to see the course is FREE, I would not pay for a course on GenAI. You will also want to look at when the course was last updated. This technology is literally evolving weekly so if the course is more than a few months old, much of it may be obsolete. As I lead companies through AI adoption I tend to recommend that they do a 1 hour "Lunch and Learn" and have someone who uses GenAI walk through common use cases. These are the 12 most common ways individuals and organizations use GenAI in their first 90 days (ideation, summation, revision, translation, research, recommendation, evaluation/analysis, sentiment, problem-solving, content generation, learning assistance, q&a/roleplaying). From there I recommend that the leadership requires each member of the organization to invest 10 to 15 min a day into using / discovering with GenAI. The first week you will hear a lot of complaining (much like asking someone to start going to the gym in the first week). Then what happens is people sit down to a task they know will take 3 hours as they have done it before and by using GenAI they turn it into a 30 min task. This will be their "A-HA" moment and they will start to connect the dots on where GenAI fits into their daily workflow. The other things that really successful companies will do is follow that initial 1 hour intro to GenAI with a weekly lunch and learn for an hour, where people in the company share their discoveries and how they are using GenAI. check Google Cloud’s Generative AI Learning Path. It’s free and for people in tech who want to start using GenAI at work. Another good one is Andrew Ng’s AI for Everyone on Coursera. It breaks things down simply and talks about how to apply AI in business. Then try playing around with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in small work projects. I have been doing self-study for AI/ML over the last 2 years. I learned supervised/unsupervised algorithms to working with tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch. I followed FastAI for a solid theoretical base and did all assignments in Python. One thing I realized during interviews (I've done around 10 for ML/AI roles) is that project experience matters more than just theory. Most questions asked in interviews were around the projects. So i need to work on projects from scratch I worked on two end-to-end projects during classes with LogicMojo ML live online program (we used Scikit-learn, Pandas, Google Colab, etc.). It helped me bridge the theory practice gap and gave me some deployable model experience. That hands-on work is what I talk about the most during interviews .It really shifted the conversation.
