What is interest rate on the American Express savings account?
The American Express High Yield Savings Account pays 3.60% (as of 5/8/25) APY. In comparison, average savings account interest rates in traditional banks are often around 0.01% to 0.50% APY if you don't have a specific checking account/savings account combination.
About time but excited they now allow you to have one login for savings and credit cards. The linking process was pretty seamless as well!
hi all, just got my first official Adult Credit Card from Amex that's not just my credit union's card--i'm definitely not into financials and prefer my process to be easy. i liked how i used to be able to see all my statements in one app (checkings, savings, credit card balance) and while i still am a member of that union, i'm thinking about transferring everything over to AMEX.
anyone have any advice on how their checking/savings accounts go? i know they're not the best necessarily, but all i need is a simple interface and a reliable company that i can use for everyday stuff. i don't use atms too often or need cashiers checks that frequently. any advice appreciated!
Hello everyone! I just opened a high yields savings account with Amex. I did my research and compared other banks and even consulted few of my friends who have experience on this field! however I do have 2 questions of my own:
1- How long does it take for the application to be approved?
2- Is the app friendly? is the money transfer really all that easy?
If you have advices or suggestions feel free to! im a college student im still figuring stuff out. The more advice the better! thank you! :)
Got an email offer for $350 for depositing at least $25,000 into the account and holding it there for like 2 or 3 months. Just want to know if they are a good savings account for the interim just to get the bonus or if they are a nightmare to deal with and not worth the effort. The money is just sitting in my Ally account so if I can get an extra $350 off of it, I figure why not
Now 3.50%. Basically a monthly event now.
I got a 390 error regarding my Amex Personal Savings, which was still using password authorization (and came up separately from my CC and checking). I reset my Amex connection, which now allowed me to select my savings account along with both of the others when authorizing, but the savings no longer shows up on the account list.
