I pre-ordered mine on launch day, but I thought I would head over to the Google Store to see whether there was any stock still available or not, and yeah, completely sold out of all three available colours and storage variants, EXCEPT for the 512GB Stormy Black, but I suspect there would be very limited amounts of them left.
Don't know what happens when you join the wait list, but I suspect some people won't be getting their devices until after the launch day.

no offense but unless you know the allocation given to the country it means nothing. There's a worldwide chip shortage that is affecting output so you can't really compare this year being sold out to previous years
