Now that iOS 17.4 is out I've come to realize that Google could release the Google Wallet for iPhones, including the ability to make contactless payments. Is this something that you want or would use? Do you think that it will ever happen?
I recently switched to an iphone and to be honest I kind of miss some Google Services that are not available on iOS.
I currently live in Finland and I have an iPhone 7S plus with 15.8 IOS with the region set to Finland. But when I lookup the app in AppStore, it does not come up. even when accessing via links it does not work. As I understand Google Pay works on iPhones right ? I have double-checked the region issue as it was not showing another app. But after changing the region to Finland I was able to download that app.
Since I changed my sim card with a new one Google wallet stopped working with contactless payments.
Everything looks fine: app opens up, no errors, all requirements are verified, all cards are visible and NFC is on. The moment I try to pay nothing happens and no error is displayed. So I have to pull out my card and pay with it.
Since a month I've looked EVERY possible solution but none works. This include:
reinstalling wallet
updating wallet
adding and removing permissions
testing NFC (works 100% with my ID)
clear cache and data
removing and readding all cards, from wallet and also from my account
updating google play services, clear cache etc.
clearing cache and data of the NFC system app
changing profile on google wallet
and also all the troubleshooting instructions in google help.
I don't know how TF I solve this, it's driving me nuts. To me this is a big wallet bug that isn't solved.
