I am with a startup MSP company. We started our Google Workspaces with the "Essentials Starter" (free) package to get everyone used to the platform since most of us all come from lifetime Microsoft product users lol. I would like to move our email from our junk hosted domain email system to Gmail with custom domain. From the looks of it, I need to upgrade our Essentials Starter to Business Starter so we can add a custom domain and Gmail to our Workspace. Well, everything I've read in their help section says to go to workspace admin > billing > subscriptions > choose Business Starter and upgrade to you.
The issue is our subscriptions only show we can upgrade to Google Workspace Enterprise Essentials which is 10/users/per month. Which does not include Gmail services either. Only more storage etc.
Since we aren't a paid subscriber yet we cannot contact support. Anyone have any ideas on how we can upgrade?

I don’t know why this is so hard to find! I thought I’d ask here. Does Workspace Enterprise Essentials Plus include Gmail?
I have Workspace Enterprise Essentials (without the Plus) and I don’t have Gmail!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi all,
Bit of a noob here. So I have a google domain, cloud setup with Google Workspace Essentials. The Google workspace login is setup with the domain email (i.e. [email protected]).
So now I can access the admin console for workspace, and I see users setup with domain emails.
My question is how to access the inbox of the domain emails? Google workspace doesnt have gmail option because not included in essentials, Google domain can't forward email because Google workspace email delivery is enabled. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here.
(MX and whatnot seems to be configured already).

Hi, I'm setting up some simple bookkeeping for a small business, and I stumbled upon this Google Workspace Essentials Starter offering. I have googled for the following questions, but so far have found no answers. I have searched this subreddit but also found nothing. So I'm hoping you guys can help out :)
I already have a custom email domain (not gmail), so I believe we should be eligible. (please CMIIW)
Now, I'm trying to figure out:

Can I invite people who use gmail.com emails to this GW account?

Are Google Docs / Google Sheets (there will be quite a few of these) still uncounted (always 0 bytes), or will they take up space?

Does the GW account have the Shared Drive feature? And if yes,

Can we invite people with gmail accounts or other domain emails to collaborate in these Shared Drives?

If collaborators create files in these Shared Drives, will the files belong to this GW account?

Is the 15GB per user space pooled, or only for individual users?
