NTD The Hercules Bench Grinder (70557) counts as a corded power tool and is eligible for the 20% coupon! I asked an employee and manager today and both said they didn't think this was eligible for the 20% off coupon. I had them scan it anyway and I'm glad I did. $160 is a real nice deal for this.
I have the Bauer grinder too and this thing is much nicer and heavier. 8 amp motor is much more powerful and effortless on the Herc. Somehow it also runs cooler and sounds nicer too. Worthy upgrade!

Not sure why they dropped the old variable speed but not really an important feature to me. Also don't care much about a work light since I have plenty if I turn them all on in the garage. There wasn't a lot of info out about this one but what I saw was promising. Haven't really used it yet but it seems really nice. 2.5 seconds to full rpm by my very unscientific measurement. Little to no vibration. I think I'll be quite pleased with it.
Heard a YouTuber mention this today, but can’t see any indication elsewhere. Also, is it true that it won’t mount on the HF grinder stand 3184? Last question, would a Scotch-Brite radial bristle brush fit on it? Thanks!
I can answer your question about mounting the Herc grinder on the 3184 stand: It won't mount directly.
But... If you have some scrap plywood or something around, you can make an adapter for it pretty easily if you have a jig saw or circular saw. I'm the world's worst carpenter, and I managed to eke something out. It's a fairly sturdy stand. And the grinder is nice, too. If you have ITC, you get both for 40% off right now, which is a heck of a deal if you ask me.
It has a 5/8" arbor, so any 8" or smaller wheel with a 5/8" arbor should work...but I haven't tried to change mine out.

The coupon didn't scan but I politely pointed out to the manager that both angle grinders and bench grinders were under the "Grinders" category on the website. I figured I was pushing my luck but Gary came through for me on this one and pushed it through manually. Shouts out to him
On a side note, this thing is freaking sweet. There are literally 6 plastic components in the entire grinder, everything else is solid metal and solid as a rock. Definitely seems like it could live up to its "industrial" name. They even use graded bolts for the accessories lol. Spins up quickly and smoothly, minimal vibration with the supplied wheels. Will it last? Who can say but so far it passes the eye test. less
