Just as a general rule, most replies you'll get with this type of post will be these companies commenting under aliases saying there are better options (their service of course)... We've actually reviewed HeadshotPro - https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cte2dxxp2Hk - along with a handful of other AI headshot services on our instagram account, and they all give pretty terrible results. Also, ultimately the images being generated aren't actually YOU, which is really the whole point. No sense in using fake AI images as a tool that's supposed to show people how trustworthy and geniune you are in your professional endeavours. The conclusion to all the reviews is essentially - hire a professional for professional results, but if you're strapped for cash or time you can get exponentially better results using your phone with portrait mode than these anyway. Find an example of a headshot that you like, that you feel is similar to how you want to represent yourself, and just recreate that with the setting, outfit, and framing using your phone. r/headshots on Reddit: Tested the best AI headshot generators – Here’s what I found out
February 15, 2025 -

Now I know this sub is mostly photographers but...

I’ve been experimenting with AI apps to create professional headshots—mostly for my clients to use in between their yearly appointments with me.

I gave HeadshotPro, BetterPic, and Aragon, InstaHeadshots, AI SuitUp, and PeronaPixel a shot.

Based on my testing of all these AI headshot generators, here's who performed the best:

1: HeadshotPro

Why I liked it the most

HeadshotPro delivered the most realistic AI headshots.

To be clear, they're not perfect–about half my order returned photos I wouldn't use.

But getting a few usable headshots for $29 to hold a client over until their next apointment still feels pretty good. They do have a money back guarantee which is nice.

What Could Be Improved

Like I said, not every photo was perfect. You have to separate the keepers from the duds.

Being the most professional option, HeadshotPro doesn't offer any casual photos. Wish they did.

2: InstaHeadshots

What I Liked

This service will give you completed headshots back in 5 minutes–incredible.

It was more or less easy to use, though not the easiest.

What Could Be Improved

A few of my headshots ended gave off “uncanny valley” vibes. I think InstaHeadshots might skip some QA steps to speed up the turnaround time.

Quite a bit more expensive than other options.

3: AI SuitUp

What I Liked

It's the cheapest of all the AI headshot generators that I tried.

Has a bit of a "mom and pop" website feel (maybe they just don't know how to design 😂).

What Could Be Improved

Of the tools I tried, the photo quality was definitely a step down on this one.

Probably wouldn't recommend AI SuitUp over the other 2 options.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I'd sum it up like this:

  • HeadshotPro is best for professional business headshots

  • InstaHeadshots is best for fast results, worse quality

  • AI SuitUp is not one I'd recommend, honestly

  • Aragon had a large diversity of casual outfits but less professional

  • PersonaPixel is a B-tier service compared to the others

I don't see these replacing photographers anytime soon. If anything, I think they could make headshots more popular again 🤷‍♂️

Ok so I'm looking for a headshot generator, but I need it to be realistic since it's going to my LinkedIn. Which, in your experience, is the best at this? Also preferably cheap, because if it is $50 bucks for a couple of headshots then at that point I'll just hire a profesional photographer

Verdict: I was eager to try this site because I've seen it mentioned quite frequently across social media. It was a stretch to find most of the results perfect because so many of them were off or just downright bad. A lot of the images seemed prompted to make the person look younger and honestly I've seen more realistic TikTok filters. For $17, I didn't find it worthwhile.

Hey everyone, I’ve been on the hunt for a solid AI headshot tool—something that gives clean, professional results without looking overly fake or cartoonish. After trying a few, the one that really stood out to me was QuickAiHeadshots.com. The results looked sharp, natural, and totally LinkedIn-worthy no weird filters, no uncanny valley vibes. What I loved most is how easy it was: just uploaded a few casual photos and got a whole set of polished headshots back in less than 30 minutes. No retouching, no second-guessing. If anyone else has used it, I’d love to hear how it worked out for you. And if you’ve found something better (though I doubt it!), drop your suggestions too.

r/AIToolTesting on Reddit: I tried 5 AI headshot generators and here's my honest experience
June 16, 2024 -

As someone looking to update my professional headshots without breaking the bank, I decided to test out some popular AI headshot generators. After trying several options, here are the 5 best I found in 2024:

BetterPic AI

BetterPic AI stood out for its high-quality, realistic results. The process was quick and easy - I uploaded a few selfies and received studio-quality headshots within an hour. Some key features:

  • Over 150 style options to choose from

  • AI assistant helps ensure good photo uploads

  • 4K resolution images

  • Strict data protection policies

The results looked incredibly natural and professional. While not the cheapest option, the quality was worth the price for me. The customer service was also very responsive when I had questions.

The Multiverse AI

The Multiverse AI impressed me with its variety of options. After uploading 12-15 selfies, it generated 100 different headshots to choose from. Pros include:

  • Realistic, high-resolution images

  • Many background and outfit choices

  • Easy-to-use interface

The main downside was the longer processing time compared to some other options. But the results were high-quality and looked very natural.

Fotor

Fotor offers a good balance of quality and affordability. Some highlights:

  • Free trial available

  • Fast generation (results in seconds)

  • Customization options for clothing, background, etc.

  • Built-in photo editor for touch-ups

The image quality was good, though not quite as realistic as BetterPic or The Multiverse AI in my experience. But it's a solid budget-friendly choice.

Aragon AI

Aragon AI produces studio-quality headshots with a professional look. Key features:

  • Customizable outfits, backgrounds, and poses

  • Natural-looking results

  • 30+ minute turnaround time

While pricier than some options, the results were high-quality. The wait time was longer than BetterPic but still reasonable.

HeadshotPro

HeadshotPro is a good mid-range option, offering:

  • Professional, business-oriented styles

  • Many background and outfit choices

  • Easy-to-use interface

  • 1-2 hour turnaround

The results looked polished and suitable for business use. Image quality was good but fell a bit short of BetterPic and The Multiverse AI in my tests.

In the end, I was most impressed with BetterPic AI and The Multiverse AI for their realistic, high-quality results. But all five options produced usable professional headshots. The best choice depends on your specific needs and budget.

I actually use novaheadshot.com - it's $29 for 40 headshots with 2 style variations or $39 for 100 headshots with 5 style variations. What I like is you get the photos in 20-60 minutes, which helps with time crunches. The key difference is they finetune a model specifically for your face rather than using a general model, so you avoid that generic AI look. Plus you get multiple variations to A/B test for different platforms (LinkedIn, company website, etc.). Having multiple options is really helpful because some AI-generated shots work better than others - with 40-200 photos, you're much more likely to get ones you really like.

I've been seeing this AI app being promoted around the internet that basically takes ordinary photos and selfies and manufactures headshots with them. I'm a little torn to be honest. Firstly, I don't like the emergence of AI in the arts for a myriad of reasons that I'm sure most of you are familiar with. Also, yeah, it'll be an image of me, but what if it's obvious that it's AI generated? That would probably sink my chances.

But I'm also kinda broke and don't know any decent photographers in town. Could go to Atlanta to have my friend do them, which I should anyway, but I wanted to know what you lot think about AI headshot apps in general?

reddit.com › r/artificialinteligence › tried 3 ai headshot generators – here’s what worked for me
r/ArtificialInteligence on Reddit: Tried 3 AI Headshot Generators – Here’s What Worked for Me
March 31, 2024 -

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been exploring different AI tools recently, particularly for generating professional headshots, as I needed one for my LinkedIn profile and other business-related platforms. I thought I’d share my experience with three AI headshot generators: BetterPic, Aragon AI, and AI SuitUp.

Here’s a breakdown of how they performed for me:

1. BetterPic

What I Liked:

BetterPic surprised me with how realistic the generated images looked. The facial features and lighting were spot on, giving the final image a professional touch.

You can tweak the look by selecting various styles (corporate, casual, etc.), which made it versatile depending on where you plan to use the photo.

I got my images back in an hour, which is faster than most tools I’ve tried.

What Could Be Improved:

While the output is decent, I wish there was a flexible trial version or free credits to test more features before committing to a full purchase.

Some of the background options were a bit plain, and I had to manually edit them afterward for a more polished look.

2. Aragon AI

What I Liked:

Not only did Aragon give the most realistic results, they also looked the most like me. It also has a huge variety of backgrounds and clothing options, which really helps if you’re looking for different styles for different platforms.

It’s easy to navigate, and the step-by-step process makes it perfect for beginners who aren’t tech-savvy.

I got my results in about 30 minutes, which was faster than I expected. They also offer a product for teams with features like branded headshots, which is helpful if you want headshots for your company or team.

What Could Be Improved:

A few of the images had a slight softness around the eyes and smile area, but nothing that affected the overall quality or usability.

3. AI SuitUp

What I Liked:

If you're after truly polished, corporate-ready headshots, AI SuitUp delivers pretty realistic results. The crisp, well-designed backgrounds and refined color schemes maintain a formal look that still stands out.

It also offers a helpful free tool to just change your background for LinkedIn profile pictures, so you can explore the platform before committing to the AI images.

What Could Be Improved:

While the focus on professionalism is a definite strength, AI SuitUp might not be ideal if you’re looking for a more whimsical or artistic style. They just offer professional style headshots and lack "creative" options. If you need something for personal projects or purely creative profile pictures, other AI portrait generators may suit you better.

Bonus: Headshot Pro

What I Liked:

It's clear HeadshotPro is the most professionally oriented AI headshot generator. While other products I tested dabble in dating photos, this one is strictly business.

If you're on the market for AI headshots for more than just 1 person, you may find HeadshotPro's team management features appealing. According to their website, they can support large corporate teams.

What Could Be Improved:

HeadshotPro produces realistic professional headshots... but that's all it does! There are no options for casual photos, which personally was a bit of a let down. After all, there's more to life than just work.

Final Thoughts

Out of the main three, BetterPic gave me professional-looking results with little hassle. For those who need more variety or have creative needs, AI SuitUp might be more your style. Aragon AI gave me the most natural-looking results and looked the most like me, with a broad selection of backgrounds and outfits.

Have any of you tried these tools? Or are there other AI headshot generators I should know about?
