Wife and I live on a large lot in northern Nevada. For months we’ve been discussing what kind of business/side hustle we can start and operate from home. I currently work in banking management and she’s a home maker. We’ve considered trying to utilize the lot to do something or simply attempt something online. Our dream is to one day own a business. We don’t know what though.

I was just scrolling earlier and came across an AP News article about how people are using tech to come up with business ideas. Mentioned a site called Startalyst that apparently helps you brainstomr personalized business ideas based on your background....kinda cool concpet....hadnt seen anything like that before. Best advice I can say is to look at the needs of your community and find a way to serve those needs. Hypothetically speaking, if you don't have an accountant living within 100 miles of you, you could corner that market. Look for what is lacking, research why it is lacking and if filling that gap is a viable option then start small and build from there. Sometimes having a gap exists because there is no need anymore (not that much need for chimney sweepers with the advent of electrical heaters), so just do your homework and work that target demographic like a man possessed.
