3 weeks ago - Ben Brantley of The New York Times called Groff's performance "delicious" and wrote that "His is the voice of vintage Britpop, rendered in a leisurely, ironic, condescending vein to a distant population he regards as savages." Hamilton achieved high critical and commercial success, winning eleven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and eight Drama Desk Awards.

How the “Hamilton” Cast Got Broadway's Best Deal
More Hamilton shows are set to open next year—a Los Angeles production in August, a national tour in March, and a London production in October. And with premium tickets selling for $849 on Broadway and $500 in Chicago, the profit-sharing yield for the actors who signed on to the deal will only grow. That pool has expanded to 38 people, including Off-Broadway stage managers and Groff.

Who Is Jonathan Groff? - Jonathan Groff Hamilton Facts
July 10, 2020 - Although the actor played King George when Hamilton opened in 2015 to 2016, there's much more to the stage and screen star. Groff was first nominated in 2007 in the Featured Actor category for his role as Melchior Gabor in the hit rock musical Spring Awakening, a stunning and provocative coming-of-age story about a group of German students in the late 19th century grappling with sexuality, identity, and authority. Although he didn't take home a trophy, the role is widely considered his breakout performance (for fans outside of Broadway).

But who will play King George!? Not to worry, Hamilton fans — Rory O’Malley, who was nominated for a Tony for his turn in The Book Of Mormon, is filling Groff’s very heavy crown.

r/hamiltonmusical on Reddit: Is Jonathan Groff ever in ensemble?
February 9, 2020 -
When the cast is taking their bows, we see Jonathan Groff wearing a white ensemble costume... does he ever appear in the ensemble of other songs? I've rewatched the movie a few times but I'm not sure I've spotted him yet

I don’t believe so. He probably changes costume for the sake of visual consistency at the end

Yep, he only appears in that neutral costume at the end. I’ve read somewhere that it’s so that Burr, Hamilton, and Eliza are the only ones left wearing otherwise colored clothes, as they are Who Loves, Who Dies, and Who Tells Your Story, respectively.
