Hello, I jus had the battery of my laptop changed, as the battery was lasting only about 3hrs and I was getting those alerts, that the battery needed servicing.
Now, I want to check the battery health, just to confirm that the service I paid for was carried out correctly.
I have googled and looked at other Reddit posts, but cannot see how to do this on my specific model as it seems the general guidance - of going to "Preferences -> Battery" does not take me to a "battery health" page. Any guidance on how to check this model's battery health would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Actually, an Apple battery gives you the percentage of its original capacity that it currently has. You can access that number through the free CoconutBattery app.
If you want to do your own benchmark, I recommend using BOINC and supporting a grid computing project, like SETI@home. These basically use 100% of your CPU from the moment you turn the program on until the moment you turn it off. This drains the battery pretty quick. Just be careful to check temperatures to make sure the computer doesn't overheat, especially with a MacBook Air. You probably should quit extra apps, but it shouldn't matter too much.
I just found out that there's a related feature in OS X called "Battery conditions".
It's supposed to let you know when your battery is no longer holding as much charge is it originally could. You can access the feature by ⌥-clicking on the battery icon in the menu bar.
