Hey everyone! I was hoping maybe somebody could help me. I was gifted a Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuum and I really want to love it. However it doesn’t seem like it does a very good job vacuuming hard floors and when I use the hose, there’s not hardly any suction. Like it doesn’t want to pick up a piece of dog kibble off the floor with the hose which doesn’t seem right to me. Am I doing something wrong? Is this purely operator error or is the vacuum just not all that it’s cracked up to be? Can somebody please help? Thank you so much!

I got a Dyson Ball Animal 2 Origin vacuum cleaner. It's fantastic, loads better than our old Oreck vacuum. I have a question about it though. I love how the dust canister just detaches and releases with a push of the button. Sure beats all the bags we used before. However, I find that there are some areas in the can where dust stays at and won't come out. Is it safe to just run water (like from a shower head) to clean those hard to reach spots in the can, or is there a better way to do that?
Sorry if the flair isn't right. Its not that the machine is broken, but I don't know what else to tag it as.
Title. I have both in my possession right now, as I ordered the latter after being led to believe the former wasn't as suited to my use case. The case here is deep cleaning carpets, as well as my car. I have roombas for daily vaccuming, but what I need from this one is to go in once a month and clean as deeply as possible. I read from certain review sites, such as RTINGS, that the cordless v15 is actually better at deep cleaning than the Ball Animal 2, despite the lower suction power. I may have misunderstood.
Which one deep cleans the best?
