I just run a 3.5mm from the tv to a RCA to 3.5 adapter into the RCA of each krk. You will be able to control volume with remote. Bluetooth will likely have lag with video, for music would be fine. Answer from DXTR_RN on reddit.com

r/hometheater on Reddit: Enabling Bluetooth Audio Out on Samsung Smart TV
November 30, 2017 -

Although some tvs don't support it out of the box, a few simple steps allow you to enable BT Audio.

  1. Enter TV service mode. On new TVs (I've got a MU6290), power off the tv, and then do Mute 1 8 2 Power. You might not get it the first time, but keep trying. It requires very exact timing. You'll know you've got it when it boots and says SAMSUNG SMART TV, and then a small blue menu appears on the top left. Your TV may have a different code, available here. You can tell which code you use by looking at what buttons are on your remote.

  2. Option -> MRT Option -> BT Support -> On
Note: it's OK if BT Address says 'Not Support' (or similar). It will appear if BT Support is turned on and the TV is restarted.

  3. Back (Return) 2x -> Engineer Option -> BT_AUDIO_ON_OFF -> ON

  4. Restart your TV

  5. Place your bluetooth headphones in pairing mode

  6. Go to settings -> Sound -> Sound Output -> (Bluetooth Icon) Speaker List

  7. Pair your headphones and enjoy!

Here are a few pictures. One quick note is that while you can adjust the volume while listening over bluetooth, you won't see a number. That's ok, just keep pressing the volume up/down button, and you're set!

edit: added link for more service mode access codes

r/hometheater on Reddit: How to connect new Samsung TV via Bluetooth to KRK monitor speakers?
September 8, 2023 -

Hi,

I have a Samsung TV that I'm trying to output through a pair of KRK active monitor speakers (i.e. they have amplifiers built in).

I'm a relatively techy person and I've tried several solutions, but seem to be stuck.

The KRK speakers aren't Bluetooth, and have RCA + XLR inputs.

Because my TV only has an optical out / TOSLINK port, the only way to connect it to my speakers is using a DAC (digital to analog converter). The DAC outputs via RCA cables to the speakers.

This technically worked fine, but the 'optical' mode on my TV doesn't allow me to control the volume using the main TV remote; instead I had to use the shitty little remote that came with the DAC. Obviously ideally I'd like to be able to control the volume using the native Samsung TV remote.

So, I then considered the Bluetooth option, and bought a Bluetooth reciever to effectively turn the speakers into 'Bluetooth speakers'. In this scenario, I thought that the TV would transmit the audio via Bluetooth to the reciever, which would then output via RCA to my speakers.

However, after trying several recievers, none of them want to work with my TV. (See attached error). They work fine when I connect my phone - the TV just doesn't seem to like connecting to them. The TV even lists the reciever when pairing, but when I try to pair, it throws that error I've attached.

"Connection Unsuccessful Unable to connect to PROZOR RX5.0. Make sure the device is turned on."

The device was definitely on and in pairing mode.

I've now tried 4 recievers and all the same result. I also realised that on the product listings on Amazon, most of the recievers mention that you can connect via phone, tablet or computer, but seem to omit TV for recieving a Bluetooth signal.

I think this is the key issue, but I'm not sure why this is - maybe it's the TV manufacturers deliberately don't allow this kind of device.

Any ideas as to how I can make this work?

r/hometheater on Reddit: How to Connect Both Bluetooth Speakers and a Soundbar to My TV ?
November 4, 2024 -

This may come as very ignorant but to my understanding it doesn’t matter what I buy as long as the cables work with the tv or if it’s Bluetooth BUT I bought the House of Marley Get Together Duo, and I’m using Bluetooth to connect them to the TV which works perfect. Now, I want to add a soundbar. How could I make this work? I don’t really care about the brand but that I can hear from both the Marley speakers and soundbar. Would everything need to be Bluetooth or can I have something connected to the tv and something else with Bluetooth? Wouldn’t the sound just come out from the Bluetooth device?

Thanks in advance :)
