Thank you for your reply. However it does not answer the question. As I stated it was MOST OF THE TIME the scanned information is converted and can be placed into a WORD docment. However, SOMETIMES the scanned information is not read by the scanner as a text and ends up in a picture file. I was asking if WORD could copy this information and then place this information as text into a document.

You need OCR (optical character recognition) software. OCR examines a picture and converts it into text... sometimes with great accuracy, other times with accuracy that's not so great. Something very likely came with your Epson printer. Check to see what was installed when you set the printer up. If you didn't install the entire suite, then check the CD that came with the printer. Or, visit Epson's website and see if there's something Epson users can download.

I have a bunch of images of tables which I want to transfer into word but so far all the tools either just plops in the image into the doc (not editable at all) or creates the table in word really badly with formatting and values all messed up.
i've tried chatgpt and adobe, but i feel like i'm doing something wrong.
