I have this cassette player that can be powered by a USB cable and has 3.5mm AUX output. I want to use this in my car that has no AUX input. I've been shopping for the FM transmitters that can be powered by the car's 12V power outlet, but none of them clarify if they're AUX input or output.
I want a transmitter that has an extra USB port so I can power the cassette player along with it. There are many AUX input to Bluetooth output devices but I'd still like to be connected to my phones Bluetooth so FM transmitters are my only option. I found only one on Amazon but it's out of stock and want to see if people here have better recommendations.
all 3 are valid options. I do think this is a personal preference sort of decision.
ask yourself what device(s) you want to connect. ask yourself how much you want to spend.
if looking to save $ and assuming your head unit aux in is a 1/8" trs (had phone jack), and assuming your drive has the same, this is a very easy cheap option.
if $ is not an issue or you don't have a device with any out put connector or you mention blutooth and want arguably the most convenient option, the switching out the head unit is the way to go...
in this day and age I think the FM transmitter is an antiquated and least convenient method.
not sure anyone could give u an answer here... just their own opinions.
So, tried 2 of the three - FM transmitter works fine until you get to an area that is using the frequency you chose. Did look at aux-in adaptor but decided to replace unit. Fitting one is easier now as the car will have a manufacturer fitted plug (in 2005 most cars had them...) and you can order the adaptor (and the plastic surround for fitting) for your car and the unit you choose so it is really plug and play.
I've got a 2008 KIA Sorento, stock radio. I don't have anywhere for aux input, and no Bluetooth in the thing. I'd love to listen to Spotify on the way to school/work, but I know how terrible FM transmitters are so I'd like to avoid that if possible. I'm willing to drop upwards of $100 as long as it's what I'm looking for.
Hi everyone! I have a 2008 Hyundai accent with no aux input, and only a cd player. I would like to play music from my phone and I am looking for an option that won’t break the bank. Fm transmitter doesn’t work well in my city due to interference. I’m willing to do some diy, but haven’t seen anything on the web that gives me a clear idea of what I can do beyond replacing the radio. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated!
