Is the Storklinta the same exact color as the malm oak effect set? Need a dresser to match the malm bed
Pretty similar but not identical- the new dresser is a foil rather than veneer. You can definitely feel the difference, the old Malms are textured whereas the new range is very smooth. We decided it was good enough against our Malm bed and 4 drawer unit, as they aren't directly next to each other, and it's in our bedroom so noone else should be on there staring at them long enough to notice. This is a quick photo i took before i finished cleaning packaging away, 4 drawer is the white oak veneer, 3 is the new oak foil. In oir room, I think it looks like it could just be a trick of the light making them look slightly different, but the 3 drawer is very slightly darker. Excuse all the rugs, the dog thinks the floor is lava! More on reddit.com

MALM 6drw or HEMNES 8drw dressers. Could go cheaper with KULLEN or KOPPANG but you’ll sacrifice some quality. I prefer NORDLI but costs more, soft close drawers and modularity are nice. More on reddit.com

I’d been waiting to buy a dresser to match our oak malm bed due to renovating our bedroom, but then they discontinued the malm dresser. I know from the pictures they look almost identical, but has anyone seen them in person to be able to confirm whether Storklinta is an exact match? Would hate to buy it and then find out.

May 19, 2019 - I've had plenty of Ikea pieces over the years and have always been pleased with the quality for the price. Their drawer hardware is awesome for the price. Didn't have a look at the Tyssedal in store so can't comment on that line. One thing I adore about Ikea is their easy returns.
