January 16, 2023 - Can anyone recommend mattresses or toppers for the hemnes? We would like to get one but not sure what to be looking out for ... We have one in the spare room. I've slept on it for up to a week at a time when I've given up my bedroom for guests. I don't bother pulling it out into a double bed and just sleep on it as a single with the two mattresses stacked. It is very comfortable like this. ... We had one in the kids room and it was ok, but as with all ikea stuff I find it wears pretty quickly.

We were thinking of a pull out couch in our office but a day bed that converts to a king is a great alternative. I love the drawers. ... Yes, that is the bed. I just got it for my DD. I didn't understand how it worked until I saw it in person. It has the three huge drawers for storage which is traditionally lost with most trundle beds. Hard to explain but the slats for the trundle slide in between the slats for the regular bed. Then you can pull it out. IKEA sells thinner foam mattresses.
