July 16, 2024 - Astronauts and cosmonauts regularly conduct spacewalks for space station construction, maintenance and upgrades. The solar array wingspan (356 feet, 109 meters) is longer than the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380 (262 feet, 80 meters). The International Space Station has been continuously occupied for two decades, and the astronauts and cosmonauts aboard have taken more than 3.5 million photographs of our home planet from space.
i have a question about the people in space right now
So, most of them are on the ISS. This means they live and work with each other all day, everyday. Yes, they came on different ships, but all docked to the ISS. As for the other 3 from China, they are on their own separate space station and are not in contact with astronauts aboard the ISS. More on reddit.com
How could an international space station designed and built today be better? What emergent technologies would be a game changer for a 21st century space station?
Don't forget advances in space hygiene, iirc there was some mold issues in the ISS And things like the ability to build larger structures with more room for expirements. More on reddit.com
What are possibility for another International Space Station?
I think there will be a space station that replaces the international mission of the ISS, but will more likely be designed and built by one company instead of a patchwork of different modules from different countries like the ISS. More on reddit.com
How the international space station was built
I didn't know you could post a 13 minute video on reddit. More on reddit.com

It also moves faster than a typical airplane (airplanes fly at about 600 mph (965 kph); the space station flies at 17,500 mph (28,000 kph)). The International Space Station is a convergence of science, technology, and human innovation that enables research not possible on Earth for the benefit of humanity.

NASA will say goodbye to the International Space Station in 2030 − and welcome in the age of commercial space stations
September 24, 2025 - The ISS has proven the value of conducting research in the unique environment of spaceflight – which has very low gravity, a vacuum, extreme temperature cycles and radiation – to advance scientists’ understanding of a wide range of important physical, chemical and biological processes. But in the wake of the station’s retirement, NASA and its international partners are not abandoning their outpost in low-Earth orbit.

International Space Station programme - Wikipedia
2 weeks ago - It was conceived in September 1993 by the United States and Russia after 1980s plans for separate American (Freedom) and Soviet (Mir-2) space stations failed due to budgetary reasons. These agreements tie together the five space agencies and their respective International Space Station programmes and govern how they interact with each other on a daily basis to maintain station operations, from traffic control of spacecraft to and from the station, to utilisation of space and crew time.
