If you're an existing customer with a number from Verizon or T-Mobile (or their subsidiaries such as Metro) you can get it without the 2 months for $95, which includes activation of the port in ($40 because you have to sign up for the highest plan originally) and $50 for the phone. The $40 gets credited to your bill and once the phone comes in and you activate it, you can change the plan to the $55 group save plan (4-5 lines for $25 each) and basically have the new phone. You'd of course have to add a line but because one of my lines is a backup phone line I just cancelled that and kept the ported in one. More on reddit.com
