I (supposedly) had pet stain/proof carpet installed about a year ago. Since day one it has nowhere near the quality of resisting stains/odors from my old dog. We try to keep him in a diaper, but that doesn't always work. Every...single...place...where he's had an accident shows even after carpet cleaning. The carpet looks like shit. We'll have to replace it if we ever sell. Not impressed with the quality of it.
Is buying stain proof carpet a swindle or did I get swindled and didn't get pet proof carpet? Is there anyway to tell from pulling up some of the carpet? I mean, the installers showed up and installed it. I assume it was the carpet brand we picked out and paid for but I have no idea if that's what it was 100%. I don't' recall the brand, but could look it up in my files.

Parent’s home, now mine, was built in early 80s, had top of line Stainmaster installed. Eggshell. It was great - any stain would come out - but now - not so much. Still have animals, still have accidents. Want to replace carpeting in great room - it’s exposed and hard flooring just will echo too much for my taste. Any recommendations on the ‘pet friendly’ carpet lines? PetProtect/Anderson Tuftex/etc? Thank you!
