SuperNova - About (getsupernova.com)
So I have tried playing flash games and found out about Supernova.
Many people have been saying that it connects to a VPN in Somalia or deletes their chrome.
But i have a few things that just don't go together.
-
Supernova does NOT ask for administrator rights, so technically it isn't supposed to be able to connect to a VPN or delete programs.
-
Kongregate, one of the biggest gaming sites ever, uses Supernova to emulate their flash games and i think that they are trustworthy.
So is it actually dangerous? I had it like a few months ago on my device for like two months but nothing happened and then i uninstalled it because of missing disk space.
Is it a virus or not? I mean, yeah i might be scared and hesitant, but i need to make sure it is safe before downloading it. Please no trolls or jokes. I want to be 100% sure.
Hey, I installed it THEN I looked up if it was safe, which is probably not a good idea. I should've probably done it in the opposite order, but anyways, I don't really know how to uninstall it. The standalone player just installed and I'm worried it's gonna do somethin' weird. Please, help?
Does anybody know how the supernova player works anyway?
I don't know if this is gonna be a browser extension or is just gonna be downloaded on this computer instead of any of the browsers I used.
The browsers I enjoy using is firefox since its a lot more better than google chrome since its much faster and is able to disable pesky ads that might royally mess up the browser and I would only use google chrome for certain non-flash game/gaming related activities or at the very least have a extra window open from a different browser.
I also have brave on it as well and from my side of view it is sort of at the same speed rate as google chrome it sure is a whole lot secure, But Im more concerned if I log into anything like say facebook, twitter or youtube/google on the brave browser (especially if I use the browsers tor option) it might cause some problems on any of the accounts I have if I were to use that browser to login to something from word of mouth or so I think.
Oh and also there's good old internet explorer that's now a windows edge that's also on the computer but who in their right mind would wanna use that busted up old tech when that browser has aged far worse than goldeneye 64.
I heard it though the grapevine that the is a browser called opera and its for gamers but for one im not sure if this will sort of be like the same thing I mentioned about brave since this browser is also sort of secure like brave and firefox combined or something like that, And two is I prefer the firefox one as its not only my favorite browser but its pretty darn fast in comparison to the other browsers I used so that's why I don't have opera.
I assumed that this supernova player was some sort of extension but I couldn't find it anywhere on the extension store off of firefox and the google chrome webstore either.
Granted I uninstalled flash on this computer by the time I heard the news of it and before all of that I never gotten back into flash gaming for a long time since most of the progress I did on flash games would get wiped clean every time me or somebody else delete cookies, clear cache or clean thus making it all the more pointless and that's why I prefer certain types of games where you don't lose progress or what have you.
So this supernova player might be on par with the newgrounds player but im not sure if any of those two would be installed in the browser I used or the whole computer instead.
So if anycase could you please tell me what it does, how it works and where its stored at?
TL;DR Would somebody tell me if this is an extension or not and if this is downloaded to the browser or the computer cause I wanna get some badges and im on a good streak for about a whole week and im on fire.
i was just uninstalling some stuff from my laptop when i found supernova player so i though of uninstalling it as i though it was a extention like bluestacks but i wonder that if i uninstall it will it break my laptop or its safe to remove?
I play games on Kongregate sometimes and since Adobe Flash is out of use or retired or whatever, I can't play my games. (Hello, Sushi Cat?!) I looked on Google and it said no virus detected. Then it said that there's a trojanized version that is malware.
Also, if it turns out to be safe, how much space will it consume on my laptop?
Explain these things as if I'm ignorant, because when it comes to this stuff, I absolutely am. Thanks for your input. And if you're rude, you'll be reported and blocked. No one has time for unwarranted attitudes and undeserved hubris.
