r/beleggen on Reddit: Verschil in prijs tussen Vanguard S&P500 en iShares S&P500 ETF’s
April 27, 2024 -

Hi all,

r/EuropeFIRE on Reddit: ETF for main investment - iShares vs SPDR
August 20, 2020 -

Hi, I am choosing my main ETF and my first pick is iShares Core MSCI World UCITS (IWDA/EUNL). However, I noticed that SPDR MSCI World UCITS (SWRD/SPPW) tracks the same index for lower TER.

What pros and cons do you see for each of these? Would you recommend one over the other?

The iShares fund is larger, older and more traded than the SPDR one. But does this compensate the higher cost? The SPDR ETF has little history to compare tracking differences.

For context: I am in the beginning of the journey so I will keep it extra simple and stick to a single ETF for now. This can keep my costs lower. It is unpleasant to start while the market is at all time high but I will be entering bit by bit, instead of all at once.

All the best!

r/eupersonalfinance on Reddit: ELI5, please: Why should I choose Vanguard, even if iShares has less TER and more assets and shares?
February 9, 2024 -

I always see posts about people choosing Vanguard over iShares, but iShares tend sometimes to have less TER and more shares and participations.

Why is this, it is because they are more ethical? Because they repeat without thinking or because they simply choosed it in the past and now they are convinced are better than the other companies?

EDIT: For example, how it is possible that IE00B4L5Y983 (iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF USD (Acc)) has more "things" and lower ther than IE00BK5BQT80 (Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (USD) Accumulating))?

Thank you anyway!

Hi everyone, for long term passive investing in the S&P 500, which ETF should i use? The Vanguard one, ticker VUAA, or the iShares one, ticker SXR8?

I live in Italy and i invest with Euro (is that even the best choice?).
SXR8 also shows a lot more data in the "stats" section, within the app, wonder why VUAA doesn't.

If you had any useful consideration also, please let me know.
Thank you!
