December 27, 2023 - Islands of Adventure is laid out so that you enter different sections of the park that are themed such as Harry Potter World, Jurassic World, Seuss Landing, Marvel Superhero Island, Skull Island, and Toon Lagoon. We are going to list the best rides at Islands of Adventure in each section of the park.

September 23, 2025 - I should definitely start this chapter with VelociCoaster, the park’s newest roller coaster. This Intamin LSM Launch Coaster opened in June 2021 and it’s therefore Universal’s first big post-pandemic addition. Although the ride was built in Islands of Adventure’s Jurassic Park section, it’s actually based on the newer Jurassic World films.

November 17, 2025 - As beautiful as the Hogsmeade portion of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Lost Continent are, the rest of Islands of Adventure is full of functional but relatively barebones design. For example, the Marvel area is just a city block lightly themed to look like the entrance of Manhattan office buildings, with giant cut-outs of ‘90s-era Marvel Comics characters haphazardly placed throughout, and little effort to disguise the ride systems for the Incredible Hulk roller coaster or the Doctor Doom’s Fear Fall drop tower.

May 24, 2025 - Skull Island has something called an “immersion tunnel,” which is a long, curving screen that fully brings you into the story the fun ride is telling. Action is happening all around you, so your head will always be on a swivel, and when you finally encounter King Kong, you will be blown away with how real he looks! ... Height Requirement: Must be at least 36” (92cm). ... Although it’s coming in at number 7 on our list of the best Islands of Adventure rides, the Hogwarts Express is one of my favorite rides at Universal Orlando Resort.
