Hi everyone, so as long as I know, Python is an easier language to start learning programming, however, I might have a greater oportunity of getting a kind of internship or even (long term goal, crossing fingers) a job at a company that works with Java because of connections.

You just need to learn programming, if Java in your network is used more then start with Java.

Go with Java. If that’s what the job your connection can get you then learn that. You can learn Python later. That said, this whole programming BS is problem solving. Being “fluent” in a language doesn’t mean you trained to problem solve.

Java is very fast. Java is very secure. Java has a gazillion of great code libraries. Java has static typing to save you from stupid coding errors. Java does not use whitespace for logic. need more?

Python is a good language to learn some of the basics of programming with, but I find it is not used often in production (outside of maybe Django) as much. It’s great for quickly scripting a task though. Java is a fast, tried and true language with tons of support and has many applications. Java is the better language to learn for you career and employment, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with learning the fundamentals with python

Selenium automates browsers. That's it! What you do with that power is entirely up to you. Primarily it is for automating web applications for testing purposes, but is certainly not limited to just that. Boring web-based administration tasks can (and should) also be automated as well.
