Is the Launcher web app the only way to configure the keyboards?

You can also use VIA to configure, which you can run a local version of if you clone from the repo here (I think, I've never done this). You'll need to download the JSON file for the keyboard you have though, from here . You can also configure using the QMK source code, which you can get from here for Keychron wireless boards or from the main QMK repo for wired V/Q series boards. More on reddit.com

I recently was in touch with Keychron support, and they pointed me at https://launcher.keychron.com to configure my keyboard. This was new to me and I don't see it mentioned in this sub's history so thought I'd post it.

they pointed me at https://launcher.keychron.app You have the URL right in the title ( https://launcher.keychron.com ) but not in the text. Also, doesn't work for me on Safari but does on Chrome, just like VIA ... is this just a reskinned VIA?

Hi. I'm looking around for a mechanical keyboard for my Mac, and came across Keychron.

Is the web app the only way to configure these? Personally I'm just curious as to why it's a web app, and not a native app that you can download. I would definitely prefer an actual app, especially if my internet is down for whatever reason. But it's also a personal comfort thing. I suppose I don't like a web app connecting to things outside my browser.

Edit: My primary browser is also Safari, and I'd rather not use a whole other browser just to use Launcher (since Safari doesn't allow device access).
