How much does hydroseeding cost?
On average, the cost to hydroseed ranges between $500 and $4,000. The cost depends on the size of the area you’re hydroseeding, the type of grass seed, slope of your yard, and other factors. Hydroseed is a mixture of grass seed, fertilizer, water, and mulch that you spray on the lawn using a pressurized sprayer. While the process is more expensive than seeding, grass will grow more quickly, and is often healthier.

I have a 1.25 acre lot. I recently received a quote for seeding for a cost of $1323 from Trugreen. I can seed myself for probably around $500. Wondering what the best option is. If i seed myself, I plan on getting some high quality seed, mow the grass real short, clean up clippings, aerate, and spread. Will a lawn care company do anything more than this? Is it worth it to spend the extra money? My fiance' feels paying the extra money is worth it because of the guarantee they provide. But I feel seeding is not super complicated and I could probably do it myself. Opinions? Area is PA.
