Are Lawnstarter or LawnLove legit companies? I assume they contract out to local people to mow lawns etc. I've never used either of them them before. I've heard mixed reviews. I have a first service scheduled for this week.
LawnStarter is offering me 38 bucks to mow this yard. Edge, trim, and leaf blow, too.
According to them it was last mowed three weeks ago, and the grass is up to 6" tall.
Yes, I filed a long grass report. Yes, the customer rejected the long grass surcharge. No, my % Jobs Completed metric was not supposed to be affected. But yes, my metric did fall a bit further due to this lost job.
Classic LawnStarter.
Been there, I feel you. I take the metric hit and move on. Nowhere near the $38, or even the double or triple charge of that!
Support needs to be better. I've had issues where LS wouldn't give me long grass bc it's been 2 weeks and grass was overgrown. I've had to direct email the pics to support, and still gotten denied. Grass was to my calf, which I pictured- and tape measure pic. I don't get it.
I come by next service to see if it's grown like that again, but if it hasi just drop it and pick something else up. I only use LS for gas money between my company routes anyway.
Hey everyone first time posting on Reddit. I’m looking for lawn maintenance in the Raleigh area. When looking at google the company lawn starter caught my eye. I put my basic information in for a quote and received a call about 10 minutes later. Initially the worker seemed nice. However, when it got to the portion where they need card information to set up a start date I informed him this is why I didn’t finish set up online as I had fraud on my bank account and am waiting for my replacement card in the mail. He kept asking if I had a debit card which I kept repeating that is the card I am waiting on in the mail from the bank. He continued to ask for a credit card. At this point I was skeptical and told him I do not have a credit card. I’m glad I said that because then he continued to ask me if I had a sister or husband that I could use their card to start the service. I’m not sure if he was just desperate to make a sale or if this is a scam. If anyone has used them please let me know. If you know of any small lawn service businesses in the Raleigh, NC area please also let me know as I try to shop locally when I can!
