Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 8) Review: Terrific Typing, Super Slim
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 8) comes with a couple of useful utilities and, at least on the units we tested, almost no crapware. The only real trialware we noticed on the two systems we tested was Microsoft Office 365, something a lot of people and companies already have a license for. The main utility for all ThinkPads, Lenovo Vantage, helps you keep drivers and firmware up-to-date ... The ThinkPad X1 Carbon combines a comfy keyboard with a super-svelte chassis.

This year’s update to Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ever popular with business users, brings more of a refinement than an overhaul to its design and features. r/thinkpad on Reddit: X1 Carbon 6th gen vs X1 Carbon 8th Gen
April 1, 2024 -

Hello Guys, I want to buy a refurbished Thinkpad for University. I am studing computer science.

Which is the better option.

X1C 6th gen with 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD , Intel Core i7 8650U 1,9 GHz (450€)

OR

X1C 8th gen with 16GB Ram, 512GB SSD , Interl Core i7 10610U 1,8 GHz (650€).

Yes they are not super cheap, but it is very difficult to find good ones with the right keyboard layout in my Country. Added to that, did someone tried to run games on these Laptops? I have a Gaming PC but i am curious what you can do with them.

Thank you a lot
