Anyone bought Little Sleepies? What did you think? : r/NewParents
November 6, 2022 - We love them!! My little guy is 96 percentile for height and weight and he was able to wear each size way longer than different brands! He’s in 12 months now for standard clothes but his 12 months little sleepies have soooo much room that I have to fold the sleeves down.

July 24, 2024 -

I will preface this post by saying I'm just in a bad mood.

Anyway, I was gifted a pair of little sleepies. I didn't know of the brand when I was pregnant. When I looked how much they were I was shocked ! However , I read about how much they stretch and how the fabric is good for warmer weather.

I bought two additional pajamas during mat leave.

Months later I'm declutterring so i decide to list them on marketplace. OMG I could not deal with all messages I got from people. The first person who wanted them was a no show so I reposted. Got like 30 messages. I got too stressed about it I just deleted the listing. Even after deleting the listing ppl are still messaging me.

Why do these attract such a cult like following ? I am in NE Ohio middle class suburbs. I feel like these are just a dumb status symbol for people who probably shouldn't be spending $35 on Jammie's (that was me...).

One of the pairs my baby wore the most is all faded now. I don't get the obsession. I think carters sleepers are fine.

r/BambooBabble on Reddit: does anyone else have problems w the little sleepies sizing?
July 9, 2024 -

First post here, the moral of this post is that I think little sleepies purposely makes their clothes too big to cater to the “omg my 4 year old still fits in his 12month romper!!” scene. My son is and always has been at the 50th percentile for both height and weight, for most brands he switches a size up right around the time he hits the age range (switched to 12-18 around his first birthday, etc.) I’ve NEVER had as many problems with a brands sizing than with little sleepies. I bought one romper from them when my son was younger in 3-6 I think and it wasnt bad but I preferred other bamboo. But i’ve always seen the posts of people being obsessed with this brand and so I caved and I splurged on their black friday sale getting convertible rompers mostly in the 12-18 size & 2T. My son just now turned 18 months and is growing out of the 12-18 size in almost all of his bamboo pjs (they’re not super small just the neckline is stretched down a little bit so I know it’s time to size up soon) and i’m slowly switching his wardrobe to 18-24 month. And he STILL doesn’t fit in his little sleepies 12-18 month size. The cuffs on the arms and legs are so insanely scrunched up there’s just way too much unnecessary fabric there. Like they’re fine to wear I just feel like they don’t fit right. They advertise that these are meant to “grow with your child” & “last so long” but I just feel like in reality all their sizing if just off. Like if all your 6-9 pajamas fit 18 month old toddlers but not 6 month old babies doesn’t that just mean your sizing is off? In all reality I don’t get the hype at all, the material is ok but their prints are not anything special and I don’t understand why people worship this brand.

r/Littlesleepies on Reddit: A theory on the current state of Little Sleepies
November 15, 2024 -

Like all of you, I've been disgusted with LS recently. The significant decline in quality over the past two years, coupled with the increase of crusty moms exploiting their poor babies on the VIP page, has made me want to never shop with them again. And that saddens me, because I really really liked LS. I kept thinking... usually a decline in quality means you lose customers, but these thirsty women are frothing at the mouth for LS. The shame is nonexistent, the over consumption is leading to the point of bragging about credit card debt. And it seems like LS sales are increasing, even though quality is declining. And then the PR boxes - especially the recent ones with the very cheap looking hats and mugs - confirmed that the VIP page is encouraging this. This is weird. What's going on?

I decided to do a little research into the company itself. I was surprised to see that LS hired a new CEO in May 2023, who previously was the CCO at Allbirds, a shoe company. (Note that Maradith is still in an executive role, but her title is Founder & Executive Chairwoman). A CCO's role is to drive profitability, and that's what this guy did at Allbirds: during his time there, reviews of Allbirds shoes on Reddit talked about a huge decline in quality, comparing past Allbirds shoes to current ones, loyal fans not sure what happened to their beloved brand. All while there were news articles written about Allbirds' "winning" marketing strategy that focused specifically on loyalty marketing. Allbirds was apparently known for its huge upswing in creating buzz & engagement on social media pages about its shoes, and creating a marketing program that continually incentivized their fanbase for spreading a positive word about Allbirds. This program transformed to making these loyal fans brand ambassadors, including having affiliate deals for posting the Allbirds brand on social media platforms.

Loyalty marketing tactics are powerful. In fact, some research suggests that the relationship between the customer & company is more influential than the customer's satisfaction of the product itself. Companies that know how to create those para-relationships with customers retain the majority of those customers no matter what. If companies want to maximize profitability, they'll do this while decreasing the quality, knowing that the satisfaction of the product isn't the most influential factor. Will they lose some customers? Absolutely. But they'll retain their biggest group, who they've built a relationship, and who spend a lot. I bet we'll see more and more VIP PR packages, incentive programs, etc., that are relatively inexpensive for LS to send out yet ensure that they're loyal fanbase keeps spending thousands and thousands of dollars.

TLDR; my theory is that LS is employing a profit-maximizing loyalty marketing strategy, led by their new CEO, that includes reducing quality of products while incentivizing loyal/engaged customers for shopping. The relationship they're building with their fanbase is the biggest factor in getting those people to spend money.

r/Littlesleepies on Reddit: Quality Concerns
March 18, 2024 -

I’m so disappointed in the quality of little sleepies lately. I’ve been buying since my daughter was 5 months old and it was the start of my bamboo addiction. I’m not loyal to any one specific brand, I think all have great products. I’m also not an over consumer. My daughter has enough to wear and that’s it, between 7-10 pajamas and I only save one size ups. So needless to say I’m picky about the prints I buy. Well my Bluey obsessed toddler had to have the Bluey print. I knew that it was going to show wear as it’s a darker print but I convinced myself she needed it. Sure enough it looks horribly worn even with washing exactly as instructed. I’m very specific with how all my bamboo is washed. Well not only is it worn looking and dingy but the hemming on the shirt is coming undone! I’ve never had this happen to any of the many bamboo brands I own. I sent them an email a month ago and nothing. I’m just super disappointed. There is so much hype on the Facebook page but at the end of the day it’s just pajamas… and mediocre ones at that.

I did some more digging into their supplier after some debate last night. Well actually, all i had to do was Google it. I used to be under the impression they were a small-ish US company, until the former employee in here said they’re manufactured in China.

Little Sleepies actually uses Taian Lianchuang Textile Co. as a supplier. This is directly from their company website and alibaba pages. Fast fashion all comes from the same place unfortunately.

r/BambooBabble on Reddit: Which brands have you tried & what is your review?
October 18, 2024 -

I'll go first but my experience is limited to 3 brands & zippies only! I would love to hear others experices.

Little Sleepies: I really like a lot of the prints - cute & colorful! The quality seems a bit hit or miss though. The signature rainbow & Winter Meadows have worn & washed well, though I would say the Winter Meadows one is thinner. Buyer beware for any dark print - it looked to be covered in white fuzz before it was even washed the first time. Why are dark prints so bad on this fabric? I have loads of black clothes that don't do this. The signature sunshine is sadly hot trash - snags & holes out of nowhere - lots of piling. It's such a cute print, but it looks so beat up after just a handful of washes. I am honestly very confused how the BTS is so big with this community. I don't think some of these sleepers will even be good enough for Goodwill when I am done with them. I do love that I only need to spend $25 for free shipping so I can pick up one item if I like. I am not a FB user, so no comment on the VIP group.

The Little One Shop: Honestly, I was pretty disappointment with my purchase - I had high hopes too! I thought the prints were very cute, but I am not impressed by the quality at this point. Some things "off" with the fabric - like a cheap synthetic feel with a slightly slick sheen. Something also seems off with the dying of the fabric - like you can still see some white peaking through on the cuffs. The cuff seems also seem pretty sloppy for the price point. Maybe my opinion will change once they are worn & washed, but for now it's a thumbs down from me.

Angel Dear: Well, this is my favorite. The prints are a bit hit or miss for me. Some are very cute & others are not my taste. They have a bit more of a high-end sweet feel to the prints rather than a fun splash of color & pattern. I love the quality though - it had a thick stetchy cotton feel. The wash wear has been pretty good so far even on the darker fabric. The price point is $34 but I was able to find a 15% coupon code floating around the internet. If I wasn't picky about prints, they were selling sleeprs for $8.5 during their year-end sale. I've also snagged a few at Nordstrom Rack for a decent price. I also have to give this brand some points for customer service. One of the items I purchased was oversold. They gave me a refund + a $50 gift card + free shipping.

A considered buying from Kytebaby ($150 for free shipping?!), BumsandRoses (Not my vibe - a lot of prints were giving me Lisa Frank vibes), Little Bamboo Shop (Might be too small of a brand, but I did love that they had a tucan print & an otter print), & Sleepy Sloth (A bit on the expensive side)

Posh Peanut: They have prints I like, and I much prefer their plush blankets to LS. I have noticed newer drops seem to be thinner, which seems to be happening with them and LS as they get more and more popular unfortunately. Kyte: Runs small and doesn't last as long, also thinner and their snap sleepers are definitely not a good fit for chunky babies. Again, much prefer their blankets to LS. They're quilted so they don't have the awful pilling. Also can buy cheap from Nordstrom Rack which is great! They have my favorite sleep sacks from what I've tried as well. Bums & Roses: Honestly might be my new favorite. They are SO much thicker than any other brands I've bought. I've only purchased once so far but it was a twirl dress, shirt/bellbottoms, and adult sweater. The sweater is so nice. Kickee Pants: I only have a dress from them, and it was bought secondhand but it seems to be another thicker brand that holds up. Kate Quinn: Again bought secondhand but I really like it! I have a sleeper and a bodysuit/shorts set. It seems to be in the middle for thickness. Also bought some new pieces for a baby shower and they seem to have wider cuffs than any other brand I've seen. MagneticMe: Again only one piece and bought secondhand but I love the whole magnetic thing! Works very well with my baby. Their cotton line runs very, very small from my experience though. Please note I buy almost exclusively sales, secondhand, or it's been passed down to me.

Kyte is my favorite! FYI the 150$ shipping is just because they’re doing a clearance sale right now- normally it’s 80$ (still high though in my opinion). Their quality is great and consistent. They have so many patterns and solids to choose from and so many different types of pjs and play wear! The darker colors hold up in the wash nicely as well

December 15, 2024 -

I’m new but idk if I even want to be a part of this obsession! First joined the VIP Facebook group for Black Friday, didn’t get half the things I was going for. Then they do the Harry Potter drop and I was on at 11:56am because I didn’t realize they dropped a special link at first. In that minute the cloud blanket sold out, so I got 2 zippies instead, different sizes. Amongst other things, including matching pajamas for me and my boyfriend. All separate orders so nothing was sold out from my cart. Then later in the week get an email that they’ve refunded my order for the Harry Potter zippies?!? Even though I ordered them at 11:56, when the site went live at 11:55am, seriously?! Then today on the BST page, I see a Harry Potter cloud blanket someone wants to trade for a bluey blanket. Like this person ordered this for the sole purpose of trading and not because they wanted it 😒 I’m done!

I came across this sub when it was mentioned in another sub and that was when I first heard of this brand. To me, they look like generic pyjamas except they're 5~10× more expensive. I like the zodiac and star prints but everything else is just kinda "meh". Is the material significantly better than other brands to justify the price? Is the zip-suit design better? What's the hype? And what's the lore behind Crazy LS Grammy?

Hi, this page keeps coming up on my feed as something I would be interested in (???). I have no idea what the little sleepies lore is or why there is so much snark. But these posts with the old ladies in kids pajamas kills me every night when I doom scroll rocking my kiddo while he sleeps.

Can someone explain like I’m 5 years old what little sleepies is

r/Littlesleepies on Reddit: Looking for similar but better quality brands than LS.
November 3, 2024 -

I really wanted to love LS, but I've encountered a few issues with the brand, which makes me hesitant to buy more. The quality of newer prints seems poor. I recently bought the monster truck zippy, and after just one wash, it was piling. However, older designs from their last sale were fine in quality. I currently have family Christmas PJs in my cart, but I'm reluctant to spend so much for potentially poor quality.

Additionally, I'm not a fan of the company's strategy to increase demand. The twice-weekly drops are chaotic and create a stressful shopping experience. The cloud blanket sells out in seconds regardless of the print or color. The queue system is terrible; I've waited in the queue many times only to lose items as they sold out. Most companies provide a timer before removing items from your cart. Furthermore, the company does nothing about resellers. Sorry for the vent, but I just don't understand this behavior from both the company and customers; it’s unhinged. And don't get me started on the Facebook group..I just want quality PJs for my child at a reasonable price. Not here to judge anyone's hobbies but it's kinda of a weird flex to own 800 pairs of LS pjs..that's about $28K..🫠.

Anyways, does anyone have recommendations for quality bamboo PJs, blankets, and matching family PJs at a similar price point?
