Anyone know where I can get some higher quality keycaps for the Mx mechanical? I love the keyboard and use it for work daily, but the one thing that irks me is the material used for the keycaps. I think the keyboard would be amazing with some low profile pbt keycaps

I saw there's a new Logitech MX Mechanical keyboard - which is wireless:

My current daily driver is a Keychron K6 with Granite keycaps (blank).
I'm sorely tempted by the Logitech though
Battery life on the Keychron K6 isn't great - maybe 1-2 weeks (without backlight). The Logitech apparently promises 10 months battery life (no backlight).
The Keychron K6 can't report battery percentage via BT - not sure why.
The Keychron K6 takes 3-4 seconds to wake from sleep each time I go back to my laptop.
I'm hoping/assuming that Logitech's long experience, and larger R&D budgets will mean they've sorted out these niggles with things like BT stack, battery life etc.
However, I really want my custom keycaps. From what I can tell, the Logitech uses "Kailh low-profile switches" (I'll be going with Clicky in Mini layout..what else, haha. I use MX Greens right now).
Does anybody know where to get decent keycaps for this please?
Honestly, I feel this is a huge fail when it comes to this keyboard and really makes it difficult to recommend to anyone.
I've had my MX Mechanical since late May, and recently sat down to use it only to discover the 'Y' key was wobbling all over the place. Basically the keycap stem had snapped right off - I have absolutely no idea how, it'd just been sitting on my desk, never dropped, not had anything dropped onto it, they key was just snapped off.
Tonight I contacted Logitech support about it, because surely you could just get a new keycap to replace the broken one right? Turns out nope! The exact reply from the support rep was;
Just to let you know, the device is manufactured as a single unit, so individual replacement keys are not available. Therefore, the entire keyboard will need to be replaced.
Absolutely incredible that a single keycap breaking forces a warranty replacement for the entire keyboard. How incredibly wasteful. This isn't a cheap keyboard but despite the price tag it's designed as a throw away item if anything as simple as a single keycap breaking happens. Really unimpressed with this.
Can anyone recommend where to find keycaps compatible with the MX Mechanical Mini?
thanks in advanced
Hi there,
I have used my Logitech MX Mechanical for over two years now. I use it daily for work and gaming so at least eight hours per day.
Most of the keycaps have visible wear and tear, some have broken feet because i wasn't cautious when cleaning. Is there any way to get replacement keycaps? Logitech support doesn't want to replace them because its normal wear and my own fault. I can't even pay for replacement keycaps. Every ebay/aliexpress vendor charges way to much per key.
Is there any way to get a new keycap set that isn't mor expensive than a new keyboard?
FYI: It's a german keyboard layout
So I've used a Logitech MX Keys mechanical at home for a couple of years, and I've really enjoyed it. The charge lasts for an incredibly long time and can use the same dongle as my MX Master Mouse. The one thing I've disliked is how boring it looks.
This weekend I finally did some research and bought some keycaps off Amazon for like $25. The spacebar didn't fit but everything else did, however I did some surgery on the new cap I wanted by cutting off the connector nub bits from a different extra spacebar keycap, using a Dremel to flatten the connector nubs on the new keycap, supergluing the nubs onto the new keycap, and then it fit perfectly! Looks amazing too. Super happy with how everything turned out.

I've been a fan of logitech. I have purchased a ton of mice(technically work pays for them), and even convinced the IT team to start purchasing their combo kits for users. My ideal setup is my MX Master 3S, Wireless spacemouse(not logitech), MX keys, and my MX Anywhere 3 for travel. It all works great.
The MX Keys though...I have had fairly regular issues.
I bought one in Early 2022. A month later one of the number pad keys looked askew, and I pushed it to hopefully "snap" it back down, but instead it just popped off. I opened a support ticket, they replaced it.
Six months later, the keys were wearing off. I opened support and they replaced it. They said it sounded abnormal and was likely due to the coating on that specific keyboard.
Less than six months later the keys were wearing off of that last replacement. Rather than reach out to support, I just stuck with it. My left shift key is so clear I can see the mechanism inside. I've got wear on the following keys: E, D, F, J, C, V, Shift(left), CMD(left).
I know I'm not the only one. This can't simply be just me that's wearing off these keys. My hands aren't rough. I don't have long nails. It's just my fingers touching them. Has anyone found a way to prevent the wear? Any suggestions or similar keyboards? I need the ability to manually switch computers, because on the mac Universal control doesn't carry over at startup for some reason.

Hi all,
If you've used an MX Mechanical keyboard for more than a couple months you've probably noticed the ABS keycaps wear out extremely quickly. My proposal to Logitech's product team would be to sell replacement keycaps made of higher quality PBT. PBT wears less quickly, and develops less "shine" than ABS.
Please pass this feedback along to the team for consideration.
Related: has anyone found 3rd party keycaps that work with these boards? Notably, most 3rd party sets are incompatible due to Logitech's unique spacebar configuration (side note, Logitech: this was a consumer hostile move).
Hi,
I am wondering if anyone knows from where I can get replacement keys for MX Mechanical? My space bar is already worn out after 2 months of use (well I do type a lot).
Googling it I couldn't find any information. But for such a flagship keyboard, I would assume that Logitech will release sets of keycaps as replacements.
Look at my keys, they are cracked or just broken. I've had the keyboard for a year and I've never dropped it. Just love the keyboard, but the keycaps are garbage.
I know that MX Mechanical is not considered a good keyboard. But it’s my first mechanical keyboard, and I like it. Most because I use it with a Mac laptop and a Windows desktop. Changing between systems without having to lift the keyboard was something I was looking for. The battery life is awesome, and the overall feeling is pleasing. However, I had to lubricate the switches. They were feeling scratchy. And of course, I over-lubed (first time), but after I cleaned some of the grease, it’s all good now.
MX Mechanical default keycaps setI know that it has its flaws, and I’m good with that. But the keycaps were the only thing that was really bothering me.
After a lot of hours of research, I’ve got a set of Womier black shine-through keycaps.
Womier set (Black 118) Womier set (Black 118)I decided to get these keycaps because I don’t want to spend money on something I would not use. So I got the low-profile ones. I thought that if some keys didn’t fit because of compatibility, I could at least use some of them.
Partial set Full setI wish I could help others like me. Who were searching for information and weren’t being very successful.
P.S.: I still have to mod the space bar. Wish me luck.
I know this topic has been brought up multiple times on this sub Reddit before but I haven't seen this specific question get answered.
I find it really odd that for my full-sized MX mechanical keyboard, all but two keys are standard. For some reason, the space bar and the right shift key have the stems ever so slightly offset which makes custom key sets just not work on it. Has Logitech ever explained its reasoning for this?
I've seen a few posts and a video showing that the spacebar stabilizers on the MX Mechanical Mini are in a non-standard position. Is anyone aware of a spacebar keycap or keycap set that does fit the MX Mech?
Is it possible to order custom key caps for MX Keys S (not mechanical keyboard).
If so, where?
Thanks for answers.
I am considering to pair my Master 3S with wither an MX Keys, MX Mechanical or a custom board. The custom is a bit too expensive to justify, however the MXs sound good. Thing is, I kinda like a mechanical keyboard more than tan the acissor style switches on the MX Keys. Not the problem is I keep on jearing reviewers complain about the quality of the key caps, how they wear out easily and how the spacebar is non standard therefore not replaceable, nor does Logitech sell replacements.
So here I ask you, owners of the MX Keys or MX Mechanical, how has yours held up over time? I am interested in the Windows version since I will use it eith the receiver on the PC and Bluetooth on mac.
