Santiago Peak via Maple Springs
You'll follow the route out to a specific point, and then retrace your steps to return to the start. The length of the trail refers to the entire route — traveling out and back on this route covers 9.6 mi. ... The drive to the start of this is along the Maple Springs Truck Trail. The drive to the start of this is along the Maple Springs Truck Trail. I would rate the road as beginner/novice level. Clearance suggested, 4WD optional. First 3 miles are paved, next 4 to this parking area are dirt. Very busy road with deer hunters and weekend off-roaders. The rest of the hike is on dirt roads. Ther

Maple Spring Road, California - GPS Trail Map, Conditions & Difficulty | onX Offroad
Maple Springs road offers a fun, relatively easy route with scenic views of the Cleveland National Forest. Vehicles should have some ground clearance. At the end of the trail is an elevated patch of asphalt that appears to be a helicopter pad.

Santiago Peak via Maple Springs Visitor Center
5S01 Indian Truck Trail to Santiago Peak, went down Maple Spring Road. Easy single width road that’s a little overgrown. A full size rig can fit but might get pinstripes along the trail. A few offshoots on 5S01. Trail can be completed in 2HI, a few offshoots will need 4WD. I started this MTB ride at the end of the Maple Springs paved section, which cuts off about 6 miles off your ride. The road was gradual most of the way and easily bikeable, just you have to watch out for cars coming down and up. There were some nice views throughout, and the road through the Airport Fire burn scar was fully

Trail of the Month: Maple Spring Road - Silverado Canyon – Cali Raised LED
My favorite part of this trail is the play area at the end. It’s a good opportunity for anyone that is trying to learn about their rig and what they may be capable of. The play area is totally optional and that’s the beauty of it. You can do it only if you want to. I have only been during Spring, but I have to say that the range, depending on how clear the sky is incredible.

Quickest route to santiago peak | SoCal Trail Riders - Southern California Mountain Bike Community
October 18, 2012 - I've done the peak many times and Holy Jim is brutal and not fun to the peak. The main divide part of the climb sucks. Loose, rocky and steep. There are primarily 3 main main ways in the OC; HolyJim, Maple Spring and Harding Truck Trail. Maple Springs is the easiest (IMO), but I personally prefer Harding Truck Trail.

Modjeska Peak via Maple Spring OHV Trail
This is a very popular area for hiking, mountain biking, and off-road driving, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Maple Springs Visitor Center: 31330 Silverado Canyon ... I started at the end of the paved section of Maple Springs, which cut off about 6 miles roundtrip off my milage, so this ride was more like 13 miles to Modjeska. The views are really nice from the top and along the trail, and you get some shaded sections on Maple Springs, which is quite nice. Just wa
