My son gave me a year long MasterClass subscription for Christmas. When I tried to redeem it, the first thing it wanted was a credit card number. Not gonna happen. When I eventually managed to get by that prompt, all I see are up-sells. Constantly. Something about this whole thing smells. But I'll give it a try and see what we have here. Just wanted to give you all a heads up about my awful experience with MasterClass. Long story short, I signed up for MasterClass, and everything seemed fine at first. It is ok, but I watched like 2 videos and forgot about it.

But then, when it came time for renewal, they hit me with a charge that was double the original price, which 240 EUR! And here’s the kicker – there was zero warning. No email, no notification, nothing. I only found out when I checked my bank statement and saw the unexpected charge.

I tried emailing their customer service a bunch of times, but guess what? They completely ignored me. Not a single reply. It’s like they’re just hoping I’ll give up and accept the overcharge.

Honestly, this feels like a total scam. Doubling the price without telling me and then ghosting me when I ask for help? Not cool at all.

So yeah, just wanted to warn you all – if you’re using them or thinking about signing up, be super careful. They might just jack up the price on you without any notice.
