Looking to purchase this.... any opinions on their furniture? Its for the basement. We don't want to spend a ton of money at an actual furniture store because have 2 young kids and a cat with claws that we can't seeem to keep from scratching shit.

I’ve bought both sets of living room furniture I’ve owned from Menards. They’re fine overall if you’re not expecting high quality. The first set really started to suck after about three months; the couch cushions squished to the point of being able to feel the support beam in the back. The first set also endured two sets of kitten claws decently well but has obvious scratching marks. The second set has held up comfort wise much better and the cats are now two and don’t have clawing issues. I don’t have kids so I can’t comment on how it’ll hold up there.

Wife and I are shopping for new living room furniture, I was at Menards and saw these on display. They are almost exactly the same set as we had just looked at for more than double at the furniture stores.
How is everyone’s experience with the living room furniture from Menards? Or should I avoid these at all cost?
My local store shows low stock, if they are out of stock can I order them and pick up at a later date? Or is it once they’re gone there gone?

I've had Menard's furniture and like most things, you get what you pay for. This isn't a bad price, and if it's just you and your wife and other reasonable adults, you'll probably get five to six years out of this at the very least. But if you have teenagers or younger children, definitely less. Low stock is because furniture is seasonal at Menard's. They don't carry it all year around so once it's gone it's gone, at least until next year. You might be able to order and pick it up later; it just depends on what inventory they have available at the distribution centers. My advice is to go in and give it a sit and see what you think. If you like it, buy it then, or else you'll have to wait until next year before you see it again.

We just bought this exact set few weeks ago. We like them so far! They are nice considering they are from Menards. I went with the extended warranty too. I haven’t met anyone who buys powered furniture and expects it to last 10+ years.

Basically, what the title says. Saw a set of outdoor patio chairs that we really liked, but they're really expensive. They have 13 sets in stock currently (last day of July). Do prices get marked down at some point to move them out before holiday/winter stuff starts coming in?

There was this wild time back in 2010 when osy was able to buy anything that was returned and needed to go in the trash for $5. I bought a grill and whole patio set for $10. I still use a couple of chairs from the patio set. GO found out and put a stop to it

A lot is red tagged right now. If it's the display, you can ask if there's a discount. You might get lucky. Unsold displays just move to the garden center for the winter. Menards has room to store it, so while they do go on sale, they generally stay above cost.
